Transition Ride

You will not go wrong with this ride cymbal. You can play many types of music with it and crash it as well. The tone is very good. Highly recommend.
Music background: Professional Drummer

Most versatile ride I have ever owned.

I have played drums for 22 years. I play a lot of pop, rock, funk, fusion, and jazz (trio to big band). Over the years I have needed about 3-5 rides to play all of the gigs/genres I do. Now I just use the Transition ride for all live gigs. If it is a studio situation or very traditional jazz I will play a vintage A cymbal or super thin turkish ride but for a gig that needs a bell the thin, dark, jazzy cymbals typically don't work. It is rare to find a cymbal with a musical bell and this is the best sounding bell in relation to the overall cymbal sound I have ever found. Very crashable and yet doesn't get in the way which is amazing being that it isn't just dark. Not the loudest cymbal but for me that is great. I prefer a "near field" sound to my playing to let the mics do their job and in the studio this is a must so you can get out of the way of the mix. I hate hi frequencies in the studio for rock, jazz, anything really. I don't play metal so maybe that is one application where this ride wouldn't work. My advice to the players that do many types of music and don't want to carry a few rides. Buy this.

Love this Ride

Purchased to replace a vintage Zildjian Medium 22" ride that came with the used kit I purchased. Was a little heavy and "Washy" for my taste. After listening to quite a few different rides, I landed on this one because I liked the stick definition it had while still being able to be used as a nice crash as well. Both bell and edge crash are loud while not being overbearing. Since I play mostly rock/alternative this is just what I was looking for.

Loud and Rich Sounding.

I'm blown away!! This has got to be my all time favorite ride. Its very rich in tone. More dark tones that bright but not overpowering. Very washy yet articulate. When you hit on the bell, that's when it blows ear drums away. The bell isn't ear piercing just perfectly blends with washy dark tones underneath. But when being used as a crash, the cymbal glows with amazing dark tones and power. If you're looking for a washy dark ride with a bell that doesn't stick out, this could be something for you. The finish is the cherry on top!

Amazing Ride

This thing sounds as beautiful as it looks. Every time I look at it, I get excited and with every hit comes joyful bliss. You can really crash on this cymbal too and then get right back on it sticking out the ride and bell. Truly a beautiful cymbal.
