Amazing Duality for a crash

I absolutely love this cymbal! sounds amazing at any dynamic level and the more you lay into it the more it gives back.

Holy Smokes (That's How it Sounds)

This crash is a smooth, reserved, deep, smoky, thundering monster. I see why Mike Johnston calls it "thunder butter." It somehow manages to be explosive, dry, and unassuming all in the same crash. It's the only crash I ever want to end my fills with. It doesn't even have a HINT of the normal bright, piercing 'crash' quality you normally get from the typical crash cymbal. It's very dark, dry, china-esque, but in an absolutely usable way. I feel like I'm writing a poem about it instead of a review. I got this cymbal in the 'Mike Johnston Byzance Cymbal Box Set' from Sweetwater and I could NOT be happier with them, but THIS crash is my favorite of the whole set. So- "add to cart" would be my suggestion. And if ya need Sweetwater assistance ask for Ben Porter :)
