Custom-engineered transducers deliver phenomenal sound

The Behringer Eurolive B115D active PA speaker's LF and HF transducers are designed specifically for each application, ensuring a flawless performance. You can expect massive quantities of low end, with articulate, detailed mids and crystal-clear highs every time you power up the B115D. Toss its 2-band EQ, integrated sound processor, and large-format exponential horn into the mix, and you can be assured that your audience will experience exceptional sound quality in every corner of the room.

Integrated mixer provides built-in mixing capability

Featuring the same low-noise, high-headroom mic preamps as Behringer's mixers, the B115D's integrated mixer accepts virtually any mic/line level signal that you're likely to encounter. You'll be able to use the B115D's variable input gain controls to dial in the perfect level, while its clip LED ensures that your signal doesn't get too hot. You can also use the B115D's link output XLR connector to add more speakers if you really need to pump up the volume. Additionally, the B115D's built-in connectivity with Ultralink ULM-series wireless systems give you high-quality sound, along with maximum mobility. Just plug in a ULM USB receiver, and you're ready to go.

Behringer - a brief history

Uli Behringer showed an interest in music technology design at a young age, building his own synthesizer by the age of 16. In 1982, Uli began studying sound engineering and classical piano at the Robert Schumann conservatory in Dusseldorf, Germany. Uli's defining moment came when he was repairing a signal processor made by a high-end manufacturer. Despite the processor's expensive price tag, Uli realized that its internal components could be bought for a fraction of the cost. Being a strapped-for-cash student, Uli began building his own signal processors. Before he knew it, other students began requesting equipment from him. In 1989, after being bombarded with more orders than he could handle by himself, Uli created Behringer, Inc.

Seriously impressed

Okay, so I just received my B115D in the mail today, 5/18/17. When I first opened the box, I was extremely worried due to the very obvious "burnt electronics" smell coming from the box. When I pulled the speaker out, and then removed the plastic around it, the smell was 10x worse. I thought for sure I was going to be sending it back. I plugged it into the wall, plugged my phone into it (with a Hosa 3.5mm TRS to dual XLR3M 10' cable), and started music playing. Nothing. No audio. It turns out the mixers on the back are /actually/ mixers. 6 o'clock is -∞dB, so muted. I turned it up a bit, and holy crap, I'm blown away. When the amp clips, the light fades in and out with the music, so you can adjust the input volume minutely until it stops clipping. Brilliant idea and much better than just a solid on or off. As I was testing it out, I noticed a familiar and horrifying smell. Voice coil burning. I believe this was just due to it being new. I probably should have broken the woofer in slowly with some low volume sine wave sweeps, gradually increasing volume levels... oops. Still, no issues at all. No distortion, no pops on start up, silent operation. I did notice a little bit of high frequency hiss, which I imagine is the PWM circuit in the amp bleeding into the output, but that's highly debatable, as cell phones are notoriously noisy (not to mention the EMF interference they produce) and the cable to connect it isn't balanced. So, to answer everyone's question (it was certainly my question initially..), inside a 20' by 30' garage with 2" thick foam-fiberglass board ceiling insulation and plywood walls, it is LOUDER THAN A 16" CRASH CYMBAL. Yes, finally, a music playback speaker that surpasses the crazy volume of repeated crashing. Now I don't have to overdrive my "listening source" just to hear it. Oh, and the lows are insane. I mean that in a good way. I can actually hear which tom is being hit in songs now! (Though, any monitor should be a step up from a 30W Fender practice amp with aux input..) So, overall, if you're even remotely on the fence, get it. If you're worried it's not loud enough, you might be correct for huge outdoor events, but it's louder than my drums at full-on-crazy-Travis-Barker-style-punk-velocity in an enclosed space, and that's all I care about for now.

Really Loud

These Behringer speakers work really well. They are loud, work well with live music.

Excellent job

I have been using just one on a stand performing a duo with guitar bass pedals and live drums. It does the job fine on all our gigs performing in restaurants etc. People always comment how good we sound. Amazing what just one of these will do.

Its incredible! Its clean and powerful and sounds great! You can hear everything very well. Perfect buy! We plugged a mic directly to it. It was just as good as running a mic from the mixing board minus the pre-amps.
