Wide Sweet Spot:

The B1031A features Behringer's silk dome tweeter for a large mixing sweet spot. High frequencies are reproduced naturally without sounding harsh. A wider sweet spot enhances your mixing consistency, and the minimal vertical dispersion helps prevent unwanted reflections in your room.

Wide Frequency Range:

The B1031A's 8" woofer and 1" tweeter are bi-amped with 150 watts of peak power for clean sound across a wide frequency range. You also get consistent performance at any volume level, with any type of audio. These monitors are ideal for home and project studios that need quality monitoring at a low cost.

Built-in Overload Protection:

The B1031A utilizes a built-in limiter circuit to protect your speakers. Quick bursts of signal and loud peaks are tamed without damaging your drivers. The limiter protects both the LF and HF drivers, so you're protected regardless of the frequency of the offending signal spike.

Great value monitor

For the price, you can not beat these. They are plenty loud enough and have a flat response that is perfect for mixing. There are plenty of inputs, outputs to fit your preference. These were designed to match a KRK, but I think the build on these is much better. Anyone starting out or on a budget should buy these without hesitation. Just remember that control over your monitoring environment is key, so whether you have an external monitor control or a nice piece of software, these monitors will deliver what you need at a great price. I have these monitors connected to a Focusrite Scarlette interface that comes with mix control, and that helps manage my speakers. And don't forget to get someone with sweetwater to help you find a nice power conditioner to get rid of any noise. As soon as I added a strip to the lineup, my sound was perfectly quiet.

I have used the 1030A before...decent playback with clean sound..but the 1031A overall sound scape is simple Amazing ! WHY ? I'm using it as near field bedroom playback with average volume...the bass to mid to Highs are very well separated ! My list of Studio monitors that I've used in my bedroom before : 1) Yamaha HS80 2) Beh. 1030A 3 ) Beh. 3030A 4) Mackie MR8 MkII ( Currently ) 5) Dynaudio BM5A ( Currently ) Verdict : The 1031A sounds close like the Yamaha HS80 but with better separation. The Mackie MR8 mkII has a very strong deep bass that covers the midrange. The Dynaudio BM5A is clean & smooth for its size and performance. Conculsion : For price ratio to performance, there's no Monitors that can beat the 1031A now and they look really sexy, may even sound better than the KRK RP8's with those yellow drivers. So what are you waiting for? order & grab a pair now while "stock last " . I tested the 1030A with POP, electronic,Latin, Deep House music, .... they all pass my ears with flying colors . Its a steal at this price, GRAB IT !

I definitely improved my set up

I had been using a standard PC speaker system for mixing. I knew it wasn't a good solution. These Behringers are a huge step up. I wanted to get an 8" woofer but keep a tight budget, they fit the bill. I can hear things with much more clarity and definition. Each speaker came with a chart showing the measured frequency response. Pretty flat curve dropping off below 35Hz. The sound I hear coming from my mixes and when comparing commercial albums is noticeably different than any sytem I've used in the past. I am definitely getting better results and my mixes sound closer to what I expect when I render them to CD and take them to different systems. The speakers seem to be built very well and look nice too. Great value for the money.
