All-tube design delivers big sound

Utilizing a cathode-biased KT66 power section and GZ34 rectifier, the Astoria Dual gives you a wide range of tones with a definite Marshall vibe. The Dual was designed for players who need a versatile amp that covers vintage cleans to higher gain amp tones. Handwired in Bletchley, England, Astoria amps use turrets mounted to printed circuit boards that let complex switching and hand wiring exist in the same amplifier. Sweetwater knows that good tone is important to you, and we're confident that the Marshall Astoria Dual can do the job.

Boutique vibe and classic Marshall tone

The all-tube Marshall Astoria Dual tube amp combo delivers fat British tones in a stylish and great-looking package. The top-mounted control panel, leather carrying strap, and old-school Marshall logo badge are a nod to Marshall amps from the '60s. The eye-catching two-tone vinyl covering and boutique cabinet design are sure to set this amp apart from the crowd.

Dial in practice levels with onboard power reduction

Thanks to the Astoria Dual's onboard power reduction, you can retain all that tonal richness even at low volumes. Imagine being able to plug your guitar into the same thick, sustaining tonality in the practice room or studio that you get when it's wide open on the big stage. With the Marshall Astoria Dual, all it takes is a simple pull of a knob.

Marshall Astoria Dual Combo

1 star deduction for two reasons: 1) The shipping box was almost destroyed when I received the amp. 2) The amps' control panel was not completely flush to the cabinet on the on-off switch side, allowing some of the pad foam to move onto the face plate. These laws were minor, so, I didn't send it back. To the review: The amp sounds nothing short of absolutely splendid! All of the settings are very usable. It is a very musical amplifier in that it responds to pick attack very well (dynamic). It is extremely loud for 30 watts. (I plan on lots of gigs with this amp) I might get the extension cab. The effects loop is spot on with wet effects. (adjusting this is easy.) The amp takes effects in front very well.. enough headroom for comps, boosts, drives, etc. If you want, all you really need is a guitar and a cord. It sounds perfect on its own. Its range is from sparkly clean to well known Marshall crunch. If it went away... I would cry a lot, and get another.
Music background: I've been playing semi-pro since 1976. Hard Rock, Art Rock, Blues and some country
