Marshall Astoria Custom 1x12

First off this amp is no where worth what it costs!! Build is good, but the why it sounds in its stock form is almost terrible. The only reason I kept it was because I could tell with a little work it could be great. The first thing to go was the awful bullhorn sounding speaker!! This is without a doubt the worst speaker I have ever heard in a guitar amp!! It fights you with authority if you try to dial any tone or sweetness to it. Next to go was obviously Marshall's poor choice of tubes, don't know who makes them but their the shrillist sounding little things. And last was a mod done by my tech to tame/sweeten the mids. Now I have a great sounding amp, but not after adding another $ on top of the already outrageous price!!! I feel completely misled by Marshall and especially all those YouTube videos out there, they are absolutely inaccurate!! It will definitely be the last new Marshall I'll ever buy!!
