Seagull's quest for tone gives you a better playing and sounding guitar

Robert Godin, owner of Seagull Guitars, has never been satisfied with good enough. His tireless search for the better guitar has created quite a few innovations that go into every guitar model that Seagull makes. Every Artist Mosaic's top is pressure tested for rigidity and stiffness to ensure maximum harmonic vibration. The unique compound-curved top adds structural integrity to the guitar and allows for thinner bracing. Take it from the Sweetwater crew - the Artist Mosaic acoustic will give you years of great performance.

Innovative neck construction and mounting delivers killer playability and tone

The attention and care given to each Seagull shows in their looks, playability, and tone. Seagull has also taken extra care to ensure that the Artist Mosaic's neck helps create an amazing guitar experience. An acoustic guitar's neck is more than just a fretboard used for playing, it also creates the guitar's tone. Seagull's Integrated Set Neck gives your guitar the sound you want and the stability you need in a performing guitar. This system provides stable and consistent action that also reduces warping and twisting. Thanks to this integrated system, the Artist Mosaic's neck pitch is perfectly set. If it's too far forward the instrument will sound muddy, or if it's too far back the guitar will sound tinny. Seagull's design assures optimized sound and playability with these and other innovations found in the entire Seagull line.

Handcrafted in Canada for more than a quarter of a century

For over 25 years, Seagull guitars have been handcrafted in the small village of La Patrie in eastern Quebec. About half of the population works creating these exquisite guitars. All of the guitars in the Seagull line are made in Canada from the S6 Original models to the Maritime models to the top-of-the-line Artist series guitar. Most of the tonewoods are also harvested from Canadian forests. You'll love the attention to detail, the quality tonewoods, and Seagull's commitment to make the best guitar possible. Grab a Seagull Artist Mosaic and experience the difference.

Beginner love for Seagull. AM

Not an experienced player so don't have a lot of experience to compare. Wanted a better-than-entry-level instrument that I could grow into. I love this thing. It's been easy to play and get great sound out of, even with my novice fingering. Came beautifully set up. Experienced players I show it to love the aesthetics and are surprised by the sound. The finish is satiny and smooth and it's easy sliding the thumb on the neck. I always go to Sweetwater first for anything I'm looking for. My rep always follows up and is especially helpful for a beginner. Give me a couple years and I'll check back in. It's exactly what I was looking for.

This guitar is excellently balanced and has one of the most beautifully warm tones I've ever heard, it's easy to play and barre, and the intonation is very tight. Well worth what I paid for it, and a definite step up from the NY Pro I used to use! Put in an LR Baggs anthem, and the recording and amp set up is even better too!

Fantastic value, a beautiful instrument

I am extremely pleased with my choice of the Seagull Artist Mosaic. I was deciding between this an a similarly priced Yamaha. I don't doubt that the Yamaha is a good instrument, but the Seagull is exactly what I wanted. The Mahogany body and Cedar top give an exceptionally warm tone that I just love. The neck is nice and wide making fingerstyle a real treat to play. The finish on the guitar is a bit understated, which I actually really enjoy. Nothing about this guitar is flashy or over the top, it is a very simple instrument and thats exactly what I was looking for. I like the look of the narrow headstock, and just like the birds on my PRS, I've fallen in love with the Seagull on the 12th fret. Setup out of the box was flawless, the guitar even held tune on its way from Indiana to North Dakota. I am even impressed with the "Tric" case that is included. It is like a hybrid between a hard case and gig bag. I had initially ordered the hard case along with the guitar, but after seeing how nice the Tric case was I decided to cancel that order. It is made with what looks like molded styrofoam, but it is said to be the same stuff they put in car bumpers, its lined with a very soft interior, and the outside is basically a gig bag. Its much lighter than a wooden hard case, and even insulated to a level. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and would definitely consider Seagull again in the future. I might even buy one of the lower priced models for my son in a couple years.

Artist Mosaic

Lightweight, comfortable guitar... easy to play. It has a nice "singing" midrange with a long, even sustain and good string to string balance. Responds very dynamically to your playing, especially fingerstyle. Seagull's give a cool & unique playing experience.

Nice wide neck

I have owned an older Artist Mosiac for along time. I've played it at all kinds of events from open mic night even bluegrass jams. It's been bumped and banged and knocked off of a guitar stand at one open mic night. I had to repair 2 back cracks after that . It still sounds good even better than it did new. There are two changes I made that are simple but improve the tone. One is a bone saddle second bone bridge pins third medium/light gauge strings. Set it up for the slightly heavier strings and it improves the sound so much the bass is fuller and high end mellows out. The reason I keep going back and playing this Seagull over my other acoustics is the friendly neck and nut width. The 1.8 nut width makes this so nice to play it's a great strummer and good for finger picking and flat picking. The cedar top really gives it a warm sound. It's hard to find an acoustic made in North America with this quality and this price.
