  • Dynamically-allocated polyphony and other features for seamless sound and performance
Amazing sounds including German 9' grand, PC3 sounds, and more

Kurzweil has always been known for incredible sounds with depth and realism, and the Artis doesn't disappoint. A never-before-heard German 9' grand piano is the star of the show here, but that's just the start. You also get the venerable KB3 ToneReal organ soundset, giving you access to awesome emulations of vintage keys. And with a slew of sounds from the KORE 64 ROM expansion from the Kurzweil PC3, you'll have a top-notch selection of synths, horns, guitars, drums and percussion at your fingertips with the Kurzweil Artis.

Fast, intuitive sound management for enjoyable stage performance

When you're performing on stage you don't have time to stop and navigate your keyboard settings. While it's easy to create your custom set of sounds on the Artis before you hit the stage, it's just as easy to tweak things on the fly too. With nine sliders and a 3-band EQ section right on the front panel, you can tweak your sounds however you need to without missing a beat. And thanks to the Quick Split/Layer control, it's just as easy to combine and layer sounds without needing a set break.

Dynamically-allocated polyphony and other features for seamless sound and performance

While it's not a new feature for Kurzweil it's one of their best - dynamic allocation of polyphony means you'll never hear notes "drop off" when you reach maximum polyphony. So even if you're playing heavily-layered sounds with lots of effects, the Artis is selective about which voices to drop in favor of new voices. You don't really need to think about it, but it's a huge deal when you hear how seamless and natural performances sound even with complex sounds.

Kurzweil Artis 88-key Stage Piano Features:
  • Performance-focused stage piano with 88 fully-weighted hammer-action keys
  • Fatar TP/100LR keybed gives you natural piano feel
  • Features a German 9' grand piano with incredible depth and richness
  • Includes the best sounds from the PC3K and KORE 64 ROM expansion including synths, horns, drums, and more
  • Dynamic allocation of polyphony means you'll never hear notes "drop out" when playing complex sounds
  • Dedicated 3-band EQ section makes it incredibly easy to fine-tune any sound fast
Hit the stage with confidence, with the Kurzweil Artis!

Kurzweil ArtiS

After searching for a few years for an electric keyboard I found it. My piano tuner recommend Kurzweil for both action and sound. He also told me about Sweetwater and that is it. The connection was made. Three top notch finds: the keyboard WOW, the sound, and above all a company the is what it advertises to be. The knowledge, service and advise is extraordinary. Thanks to Chris Neyman my search is complete.

Suits my needs perfectly

Overall, couldn't be happier with my Artis 88.Also would pass on my success using the EHX expression pedal! Definitely a great addition for the amazing Artis clavinets, Rhodes and Wurlys with wah. Likewise, great success running the KB3 outputs to Leslie Preamp pedal and Leslie 145. Big difference! Guys in the band rave about it.Couldn't figure out how and where to get other Kurzweil programs onto theArtis at first. There is a ksetlist page giving instructions on downloading PC3LE programs for installation on SP4 (Artis is NOT mentioned). Login needed. These programs programs loaded just fine using a virtual drive or USB drive with my Artis. I had to audition them and decide which user slots to use but it was well worth it as many are usable for me. A pdf of the sounds available spanned 22 pages. None of this was found by searching anywhere for "Artis" so anyone new to Kurzweil is unlikely to stumble upon this simple solution. Thanks to Geoff Allen

Love This Keyboard!!

While I've only had this keyboard a couple months, I enioy playing it more than I thought I would. By that I mean, I wasn't sure if the hammer-weighted action would work for me, since I've played semi-weighted keybeds in the past. So far, I am very happy with my purchase and more than impressed by Sweetwater's excellent customer service. I have not had a chance to try the included Kurzweil sound-editor for Windows yet or using the Artis as a midi controller, but it has some excellent stock presets and the ability to customize and store my own user sounds is something I look forward to trying. The Artis works very well with Presonus Studio One DAW via USB to my laptop and I just ordered an Audiobox 22VSL and Sennheiser HD-280 headphones today. Thanks Andrew and Matt!

Great Keyboard

I've had this keyboard about 3 months or so and I love the keyboard. When I selected my keyboard, I listened for not only the pianos but also electric pianos, strings and organs. I spent some time on youtube and anywhere else I could find information on the Artis. Along with this information I based my decision upon my experience with my K2600x. I loved that keyboard and knew I would like this as well. I tried some Yamahas and Roland keyboards (RD300 and RD800) and overall tended to not like the feel of the keyboards as much as I did my 2600x. Combined with the sound quality and feel of the keys (and budget), I felt the Artis met my needs. And it has met my needs. I use this keyboard in worship and it gives most of the sounds I need. I say most because my main gripe with the keyboard is I honestly wish it had more sounds. For the price I think there should be a lot more sounds on this board. That's my main complaint. The sounds are good and I'd buy this keyboard again. I just wish it had more sounds. Especially in terms of synths and pads. I can definitely change them up some with the sound editor but I do wish there were a few more sounds that came with the board from the factory. The keyboard is easy to navigate, easy to operate and light to carry around. This is a great gigging keyboard. Anyone who purchases it, I think, will be pleased with their purchase. Overall, this is a great keyboard from the feel of the keys to the piano, electric piano sounds, definitely the organs and strings, navigation, function, etc. I would definitely purchase this keyboard again and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for an all around keyboard to use at home or while gigging.
