Captures the Midrange Growl of a Vintage P-90

Seymour Duncan's Antiquity P-90 Soapbar single-coil pickup captures the magic and tone of a well-worn Gibson pickup from 1959. The Antiquity P-90 Soapbar is crafted from period-correct materials, such as a hand-fabricated bobbin, plain enamel mag wire, and flatback tape. All of the components have been carefully aged to deliver the smooth tone of a vintage pickup. And the pickup cover goes through the same process to look just like it came off an early-'50s Gibson Les Paul. Sweetwater players are ecstatic about the Seymour Duncan Antiquity P-90 Soapbar, as it's a drop-in replacement for any of their standard Gibson soapbar-routed guitars.

Seymour Duncan Antiquity P-90 Soapbar Single-coil Bridge Pickup Features:
  • Re-creation of an aged Gibson P-90 single-coil
  • Drop-in replacement for any standard Gibson P-90 soapbar route
  • Aged cover gives the look of a well-loved pickup
  • Aged materials offer the smooth sound of an older pickup
  • Vintage-correct plain enamel mag wire, bobbin, and flatback tape
The Antiquity P-90 Soapbar gives your guitar the sound of an early-'50s Les Paul.

What just happened!?

I've been rocking a stock Gibson LP JR Special P90 for a few years, and I love the feel, how easy it was to setup, the look...pretty much everything about it...except the pickups; they just seemed sharp/icepickish. Well, I just popped in one of these antiquities in a couple months ago, and frankly, the out of tune, sloppy E chord I first hit with this bad boy installed sounded like a rock opera. This pickup is everything I ever wanted a pickup to be (other than quiet, but that's just P90s for ya [an EH Hum Debugger will fix that up for ya]). I cannot endorse this pickup enough. Save up your milk money and buy this.
