Punchy and Clear Vintage P-Bass Tone

Seymour Duncan's Antiquity II P-Bass single-coil pickup is an re-creation of the more aggressive pickups found in the original 1960s P-Basses. The Antiquity II P-Bass is constructed from period-correct materials and designs such as specially calibrated Alnico 5 magnets, plain enamel mag wire, hand-fabricated forbon bobbins, and much more. These all come together, imbuing the pickup with vintage punch and added cut of the pickups from the 1960s. Grab an Antiquity II P-Bass pickup from Sweetwater and your P-Bass will sound like a 1960s low-end monster.

Seymour Duncan Antiquity II P-Bass Single-coil Pickup Features:
  • Recreation of a P-Bass pickup from the 1960s
  • Aged materials add a vintage-correct tone
  • Alnico 5 magnets deliver a vintage warmth with a little more punch and cut
The Antiquity II P-Bass pickup is great for punching through a mix.

Solid as a rock!

The Antiquity II pickup just have that subtle classic sound that is just right. There is a fat groove with a bit of bark in there. A solid low end with enough high clarity for definition. To me, this is the classic sound of the P Bass, fat and funky. Great for fingerstyle or pick. I couldn't be happier.
