Bold-sounding PRS Quality for Everyone

The Angelus SE A30E gives you PRS quality in an affordable acoustic-electric guitar that begs to be played live. Its X-brace/classical hybrid top-bracing is borrowed from PRS's USA-made line for optimum clarity and projection. The spruce top and rosewood back and sides provide a classic powerful and articulate sound. And the PRS under-saddle electronics let you take your SE Angelus A30E onstage and get the same acoustic tone you love. The PRS SE Angelus A30E delivers custom acoustic features without the custom acoustic price tag.

  • PRS's X-brace/classical hybrid top-bracing
  • Fine tonewoods meet signature PRS appointments
  • Under-saddle pickup system provides excellent sound onstage
PRS's X-brace/classical hybrid top-bracing

PRS's proprietary X-brace/classical hybrid top-bracing method blends the techniques of some of the most legendary acoustic guitar luthiers in history, pairing resonant tops with stiff and reflective backs and sides. This bracing pattern offers a powerful tone that doesn't mask the intricacies of your playing style. The SE Angelus A30E shares this bracing design with PRS's USA-made acoustic guitars. It's a high-end feature you'd expect to find on custom acoustics costing thousands of dollars but can be yours for an affordable price.

Fine tonewoods meet signature PRS appointments

The PRS SE Angelus A30E features an Angelus body with a solid spruce top and rosewood back and sides. The neck of this SE Angelus A30E follows Paul Reed Smith's "wide" neck shape and is carved from choice mahogany. A ebony fretboard gives the neck a smooth feel and rich tones. And the signature bird inlays denote the Angelus as a member of the PRS family. The SE Angelus A30E manages to strike the perfect balance between modern eye-catching adornments and a traditional acoustic appearance that's steeped in history.

Under-saddle pickup system provides excellent sound onstage

Getting your acoustic guitar tone to translate in a live environment can be tricky. That's why PRS outfitted their SE Angelus A30E with their under-saddle pickup system. These electronics naturally sense vibration at the point where it's the clearest and most intense. This gives you a clear and strong voice with good feedback rejection. Soundhole controls for tone and volume let you dial in your tone to taste. And the controls' low-profile design does away with any unsightly electronics dominating the look of your guitar.

Paul Reed Smith SE Angelus A30E Acoustic-electric Guitar Features at a Glance:
  • Acoustic-electric guitar with under-saddle pickup system
  • Spruce top delivers nuanced clarity and projection
  • Rosewood back and sides provide punch and low-end richness
  • Large yet comfortable body style gives you excellent acoustic projection
  • Onboard pickup system sounds great and is low profile

PRS Angelus A30E

What a great guitar. Fabulous resonance and tone. Far years I have been looking for a guitar with the sweet sound of an old Martin, but also the punch of a pre-Fender Guild. This is it. The set up had to be done again. The neck was not adjusted for the strings. I had to take it to a different place to have it set up properly.

Amazing guitar

Love it, just got it in today. I had never played on a prs acoustic guitar before, but figured I'd give em a shot. Right out of the box it's one of the best acoustic I've ever played. Definitely recommend! It has amazing tonew and it's a beautifully crafted guitar.

Needs to be played.....

Ive had this guitar for a few weeks and am so impressed with the sound and the quality of a much more expensive axe, with this guitar I sit and jam, and the vibes out of this guitar are totally intoxicating, the best natural high Ive had in a long time, Ive played and owned many guitars over the years and this is a great surprise with a great price tag!!! It plays so much like an electric, it has a growl when pushed and stroked, then it'll purr loudly and content, and sends the chills a runnin, I cant really tell you how it impacts me, and itll only get better with age, like a good whiskey...the parting words for this Guitar, It gives me the want to play, Im not sure if anyone understands that, but Im inline for another with the Mohagany, Rock on you all

Blow away

Beautiful sounding acoustic guitar. Great different tones. Also got the AS50D acoustic 50 watt amp. Really nice compo together. Thanks Matt at Sweetwatwe.

Kicks major butt!

I've had this for over a month now, and the woods have opened up a bit in volume, which I was worried about, but it's gradually and quite quickly growing as a guitar, somehow. Appointments, finish, setup, projection, string separation, and tonality is far better than anything else you can buy under a grand, without a doubt. And it looks beautiful! Paid off to put my trust in PRS, and my sales engineer David Mikautadze was really kind and helpful. The only complaint, if any, was some inconsistency in the neck binding, which is just me nitpicking. And I really dislike the case for some reason.Isn't protective enough, doesn't have a lock, the handle is strange, and just generally not something Paul Reed Smith would want to associate with. But my rating is towards the guitar, purely. 92/100!Also, the bridge and fingerboard is ebony, as their website also states. NOT ROSEWOOD! (I prefer ebony)
