I've been running Elixir Nanoweb phosphor/bronze lights for some time on my Taylor 814ce and I've found they do indeed last longer than others and hold their tune well after a good stretching. They also seem to hold up to aggressive strumming better than say Martin SEs. I thought I'd try these since Taylor is running them stock on the new edition of my 814 and wow! They really have increased the volume of the lighter strings and warmed up the overall tone significantly which is my only complaint about the Auditorium body guitar when unplugged. Our sound guy, guitarist, drummer and one singer on our worship team all commented on how much richer my guitar sounded that first week up after my string change and I change strings once a month. One even said, "now that sounds like a $3500 guitar should." Very happy with that result, I must say. My only gripe about all Elixir strings is that when you start sweating, they can become a bit slippery. However, after a set they clean right up and the tone isn't destroyed like I've experienced with others. Minor trade-off for otherwise superb strings.
