Compared a lot and this is what I bought

I looked at Snark, the other Korg tuners, the Gogo tuner, planet waves, etc. I think the pitchhawk is really aimed at the Snark users. It feels similar to me. But I love the capo button, the extra flat steps, the accuracy, all of it. The color is clear in low light but understated if you forget and leave it on.
My only concern is durability of over time, so I nicked a half star because it has a full rotating arm that let's you put it exactly where you want it, and I'm worried about anything with that much motion. So yes: I took off a half star for a convenience feature. We'll see how it holds up. I do open mice once a week now, so this will get a lot of use. I love it!

I purchased this tuner to replace a much more expensive Korg that I broken the clip for years ago. I needed a tuner that I could leave on the head stock and tune as needed (I could only use my broken Korg by clipping on the rim of the sound hole). I just finished compairing the two tuners and both reacted exactly the same during the tuning process and like I said the Pitchhawk is 1/2 the price. Also the Pitchhawk is MUCH easier to see/read with its backlight feature. Ive used other tuners that were slightly less expensive than the Pitchhawk and they were terrible. The only reason I took off a half a star was the device didnt fluctuate string names (Example, flashing from E to A when tuning the low E string), however it did not interfere with providing correct tuning for each string very accurately. Do yourself a favor, spend the few extra bucks and get this tuner...im glad I did...

The PitchHawk-G is smaller than I expected, (which is great). I really appreciate the tuner's small size and it's a perfect fit allowing me to leave it on my Martin D-15M Burst, but it's screen feels very large, it's very clear, and easy to read. The PitchHawk has several nice features to go along with everything else it has going for it, just a good tuner for a good price.

    Reliable, accurate, but dim display.

As with other Korg tuners I've used, the PitchHawk-G is accurate, and seems well made. I'm disappointed with the display however, since I think it should be brighter and easier to read, as are similar tuners by Intellitouch.

    So disapointed

Korg used to make the best clip on tuners on the market, head and shoulders above the rest. Then they "improved" their design. In comparison to their older version, this is clunky, slow to respond, inaccurate, and an all-around careless design. No quick on/off button, no option to choose between mic and piezo, and the worst part is that it doesn't tune near as well as the tuners they used to make just last year. I will guard the older versions with my life. They work perfect for guitar, uke, banjo, you name it.

    cheap piece of junk

Whoever designed the door to the battery compartment needs to find another occupation. This is yet another cheap piece of junk from Korg. I just wish Korg was just one specific man...then I could ask him to step outside with me and settle this man to man.
