Fantastic Modern Voiced Speaker

I play a Marshall DSL40CR that came with the Celestion V type speaker. I've also used a Celestion Vintage 30 with it. The amp is a very bright amp and to my ears has the typical upper mid spike and high sizzle that just doesn't suit my style (I play mostly high gain). I wanted more use of my presence and treble eq instead of just having them mostly off. The A type speaker took all of that high sizzle and hiss with the mid spike away. It has a big bottom end and really pushes the lower mids out front and center and calms those high frequencies. Now I have full range use with my presence and treble. It turns the Marshall DSL into a more modern sounding amp but you can still dial in the classic tone if you choose. It made my amp more versatile in my opinion. If you are looking to get a more unique modern sound out of your Marshall, give it a try.

Sounds better every time I play it!

I put this in my Fender Champion 40 amp (solid state) which by the way is the best sounding amp for the money to my ears anyway.
The stock speaker actually sounds quite impressive on its own so I don't know if I really needed the upgrade but I am glad I actually did. This Celestion gives greater clarity at higher volume and is a lot more efficient than the stock speaker. Still breaking it in and it just makes me more impressed with this amp all the time. I would recommend it as a replacement for the amp without question.

Great Replacement for Fender Mustang II Original Equipment!

I purchased this to replace the speaker in my Fender Mustang II Amplifier, as I was detecting some vibration, and looking for a richer sound. This fit the bill. I use it for jamming, and it has a much nicer tone than the original equipment. Be aware that with a larger magnet and more solid construction, for me, it added extra weight to the amp. But the extra was worth it!

Celestion Type A for 65 Deluxe Reverb

I bought this 65 Fender Deluxe reissue used, loaded with a Celestion Gold speaker in it. The sound was pretty terrific I must say, and I've used it for a handful of gigs until I realized that it was a bit on the heavy side. So after reading the reviews, I decided to give this TYPE A a try. It was like this speaker was made for the deluxe. It has breakup but not too soon, and the tone is balanced without being tinny or muddy. It is an all-around speaker for the all-around amp.
