A Mic for Tight Spaces!

The Audio-Technica ATM350 is perfect for a number of miking tasks where space is tight, or low visibility is desired. Supplied with Audio-Technica's versatile UniMount clip and new violin mount, the low-profile ATM350 is an exceptional cardioid condenser microphone designed to clip to brass, reeds, piano, snare, toms, and violin. One Size Fits All

I have used Beta 98's on drum toms on other systems, this ATM350 is every bit as good, and without that massive 98 mounting clamp that is always too tall. The ATM350 fits perfectly anywhere on the drum, no hardware clamp needed. I have also used these on violin, cello and bass violin. put one on the strings and one on the "f" sound hole. awesome sauce!

Excellent deal

We have been using this mic on violins, attached with the spring clip to the chin rest, with excellent results. No feedback issues yet outstanding sound reproduction. It also works well attached to the bell of brass instruments. We have not used the strap mount.

Goodbye beta 98's

Personally I still prefer large diaphragm mics on toms (atm25) but for smaller less obtrusive mic the atm 350 is the way to go.
