    *****Five stars

Great plugin. The new Pitch & Time feature is great for syncing up those out of time lyrics.

Great Tool for the Modern Studio

I've used more or less most of the pitch correction plugins out there at one time or another, and this one has become my favorite. It takes a bit of a learning curve to really be able to use it to its' full potential, but once you get it figured out it is a fantastic tool. If you aren't careful it can REALLY grab a hold of some notes, but using the settings and being tasteful this can be totally transparent and super easy to use. Hoping to see a free AAX update for PT 11 maybe?

    Beware the Latency!

This is a great product for tuning vocals and even instruments. It has many useful features, and the manual tuning mode is especially handy for ultra-transparent tuning of vocals. The only issue I have with this version of auto-tune is the huge amount of latency is has. I have no idea what changed between version 5 (the last version I used) and this, but I would prefer to go back to 5 because 7 is unusable as a tracking effect. I have many clients who prefer to hear themselves through auto-tune while tracking. They prefer to "drive" the tuner in a certain way performance-wise, and with version 7 native, that has become impossible. Antares really needs to redesign the Native version of this plug to be low latency like the other. At the very least there should be a way in the settings to turn on and off internal features to allow for lower latency during tracking.
I will still use v7 in mixing and post stages of production, but I now have to find an alternate solution to tracking with a tuner. I know the EFX can do it in Native, but to me that's just a cruel gimmick to force customers to spend additional money unnecessarily on another product they shouldn't have to get if they bought this fully featured version. Hence my three star rating. Please figure this out Antares!

The initial ILOK install is a pain

I think the software might be good if I can ever get past the struggle of the stupid ILOK

    Extremely disappointed

I was an auto-tune user from about Auto-tune 2-4, I think. I always found it to be a useful tool. I could throw it onto a group of background vocals that I just didn't have the time or patience to individually edit, and it would smooth out the pitch in a realistic and pleasing way. Or, I could surgically take apart a lead vocal that I liked, nudge syllables and words and get a near-pitch perfect performance without artifacts. Version 7 appears to be made by a different company that suddenly has no idea how people like me like to work. The interface is overblown and unnecessarily complicated, and I have trouble getting anything to pitch correct without sounding like T-pain or whoever it is... Really sad that they couldn't continue to make a simple useful tool better. Also sad that I blew $300 on a product that I can't return because of their awful policy with software purchases. If you can get a demo and try it out for a few weeks, do that. Maybe my previous AutoTune experience works against me here, but they need to allow a legacy mode that simply works easily and well without all the complication that I'm assuming they view as progress.
