Semi-acoustic body with maple top, back, and sides provides a bright and naturally expressive tone

There's no substitute for for the mellow and naturally resonant sound of an electric guitar with a semi-acoustic body. Ibanez built their AS73 semi-hollowbody guitar to capture the jangle and bite of an classic semi-hollowbody, which is why they built it with an all laminant maple body. Whether you're playing rockabilly, blues, or any number of modern styles, you're going to love the character the AS73 semi-hollowbody guitar brings to your music.

ACH humbucking pickups capture electric sound and acoustic resonance, without 60-cycle hum

Early hollowbody and semi-hollowbody electric guitars had wonderfully expressive tone that came with serious hum issues. That's why Ibanez and other guitar makers quickly developed special humbuckers, such as the ACH series models. These special humbuckers preserve your AS73 semi-hollowbody guitar's bite, but ditch the 60Hz hum and other noise. What's more, ACH humbuckers give the AS73 a unique sonic character that you're sure to have fun with.

Slim mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard give you smooth feel and comfortable action

The neck of any guitar has a lot to do with how well it plays, which is why Ibanez selected one of their smoothest and most comfortable necks for the Artcore AS73 semi-hollowbody guitar. Not only will your hand love the slim carve of this mahogany neck, but your fingers appreciate the beautifully bound rosewood fingerboard. And since the AS73's meets its body at the 17th fret, you get easy access to all of those typically hard to reach high notes.

This guitar is amazing

I've been shopping for a new guitar for a while. This Ibanez guitar is a work of art. I'm very critical of the work done on my guitars, and can usually find a blemish in a matter of a few minutes. After a meticulous search, I came up with no mistakes at all. I thought only Fender made guitars as well as this. Plays and sounds great. Thanx again Sweetwater!

A really great value

I have been shopping for a long time for left-handed guitars under $800, and at about half that price, this is a super great value and a great buy! First of all, it sounds great thru a POD300HD and It stays in tune. At this price you could stop there, but the build quality and paint finish are perfect as well. The pictures here don't really show the figuring in the wood that is visible through the semi-transparent finish. The neck is pretty thin, but the fretboard is fairly flat - much like an acoustic, so it's easy to play and maintain proper intonation if you're coming from an acoustic.I was very surprised at how nice a guitar this is. I've had it for about a month now and am very satisfied with it.

Best lefty guitar at this price point

I am always looking for good left-handed guitars, and I have been very pleased with this purchase. First of all, it is a gorgeous guitar, and the finish seems to be of excellent quality. The action is very comfortable, and the bridge-to-nut length is a bit shorter than some of my other guitars (24.75 inches), which would make this a great guitar for young players. This guitar seems close in construction and style to the LH Epiphone Dot, which I have not reviewed. I do own a LH Epiphone Sheraton, which does have a better sustain than the Ibanez, although this guitar is considerably less expensive than either of these alternatives. If you want a nice hollow body electric, and there are few LH options, it is hard to go wrong with this one.
