Great monitors for bluegrass

Great IEM's for a bluegrass band!! Set up was "plug it in and turn them on!" Simple, affordable and do exactly what IEM's are supposed to do. 4.5 stars only because everything could always be improved and in this case maybe an improved ear bud but the ones provided are ok for starters.

works great

We run 7 in ear monitors on Sunday with 4 of them the Galaxy 1100. We have had no problem with interference from other cordless devices and the sound is good. Transmission distance is around 75 ft from receiver to transmitter. Great for churches that are looking to go to the next level

Can't beat it for the price

We bought this set as well as an extra transmitter to get our vocalists at church into the world of in-ears and eliminate our floor wedges. For the price this is a great system. I personally use Audio-Technica's M3L set and can only compare these with the AT set.Pros: 1.Displays that show battery, RF and channel clearly 2. Easy to set up and use. 3. Good overall sound quality 4. No or very little interference (I get buzzes and interference all the time on my AT set and it's only a few feet away.)Cons: 1. Construction on the weak side (not bad though- and why they are cheeper.) 2. When sound comes through a high frequency "hiss" is with it. (I didn't say anything to my vocalists about it and they havn't said anything about it, so either they aren't hearing it like I do, or they are just dealing with it.) 3. NO left right pan control on the receiver. (my AT unit has this and it does come in handy once in a while.)Conclusion: I would by this again and probably will, when we expand. For the price, you can't beat this.

We have been using the monitor system for several weeks and the equipment has worked well for us. Really reduces platform noise!

Ok but not great

I have used these at four different gigs and so far I don't hate them, but i don't love them. My drummer loves them because they do isolate the sound of his drums…it's much easier on his ears. The sound is clear when it's coming in but for some reason it seems like the signal changes, likes its coming and going from time to time…I always seem to have to yell at our sound guy to turn someone up or down midway through the gig….WIsh we could just set them and forget them. The earbuds are ok for me, but they fall out of my bass players ears all the time. This can be fixed with earbud upgrades so I guess no big deal. One of the receivers clips has fallen off and is lost forever….I wish that would not happen. Some of the receivers also only show 3 out of 4 bars of battery life even with brand new batteries added. Also, the earbuds don't really snap into the receivers very well….like your not sure if its in there or not. From time to time a very loud screeching sound will shoot into the ears and scare the heck out of you…that is not cool. That seems to happen when I move a bunch on stage. Truth is I think these are ok for beginners getting into the in ear world. If you have the cash maybe you should get something a little better. If your set on getting these try and get the package with the EB3 ear buds. I like in ears because you don't have to mess with heavy wedges, just not sure I would buy these again. Maybe I expect too much.

Sweetwater Advice

Jared Kalish

Being able to hear my bandmates when I'm onstage is critical for a good performance. Once we got set up with the Any Spot AS-1100-4 Band Pack System, there was no way we could go back to using the classic stage wedges. Since then, I've recommended it to countless bands and church groups with total confidence knowing they would see measurable results on the first use just like I did!
