    5 String Semi-Hollow Must Have

Saw this in BP Mag and new I had to have it. True to there word Sweetwater was the first to have one in stock and I am grateful that I ordered from them. It came out of the box with perfect action and intonation thanks to the hands on luthier inspection and setup that only Sweetwater offers.
This is a medium/short scale and took me a little bit to get accustomed to the difference of my other 35"scale 5 strings.
I was concerned before ordering of the low B being floppy with the shorter scale length, relieved to find the low B full and robust with a taught string tension.
The fit and finish of this guitar rival guitars costing 4 times the price.
This guitar sits and hangs perfectly without a hint of neck dive that I was afraid it may have being a semi hollow.
I played my first gig with it last night, a charity festival that I performed with 2 different bands, 1 country the other alternative rock. It was stellar for both and turned more than a few heads and raised lots of curious questions.
Cannot say enough good things about this bass!
Get you one and you will not regret it!

Love at first sight with this one. I now have it strung as a baritone instrument in 5ths - FCGDA - so it has a huge range and can provide bass lines, chordal textures, guitar parts and even cello parts. Handles all this extremely well. Setting up with flatwound strings and reintonating was easy. I think you could basically do anything with this instrument and have it sound lovely. Very rich, lots of pleasant harmonics and sustain. The TOM style bridge and tailpiece only really present one issue: the length of string between them makes for some interesting noises playing certain pitches. Threading a piece of cloth through the strings there damped the resonant frequencies enough to eliminate it.

Has enough volume to practice unplugged and clearly hear the pitches. Pickups are fine very rich and warm plugged in, and a touch of compression/eq really makes it sing. I love that creamy semi-hollowbody neck-pickup sound, and it definitely delivers.

Half a star off for the tuners which seem mechanically sound but are plasticky and detract from the otherwise stunning finish. Do not skimp on a case for this guitar: definitely buy the hardcase.

    Highly recommended.
