An Affordable Flame-Top Acoustic/Electric

The AEWC32FM from Ibanez offers you grace, durability and versatility. The mahogany neck, back and sides merge with a flame maple top for a tonality that is warm with the right amount of sparkle. The onboard Fishman Sonicore pickup with top-mounted AEQ210TF preamp/tuner and two-band EQ lets you easily translate your sound for the stage. Ibanez adorned this well-priced, gig-ready guitar with a pearl rosette and rosewood bridge and fretboard, and it's protected by a durable hybrid lacquer/poly finish that will look great for years to come.

Elegant looks and great playability

This is simply a great-looking acoustic guitar. The flame maple top of the AEWC32FM smolders under the lights, and the soft Florentine cutaway enables easy access to all the frets. The rosewood fingerboard and bridge offer responsiveness, warmth, and playability, along with accenting the beautiful flame maple top.

Durability for the Long Haul

This instrument is built to endure the punishment of performing. Its hybrid satin lacquer/polyurethane/polyester finish will protect it on stage and on the road, and the tuners feature die-cast black machine heads to stay in tune from one set to the next.

Versatility at Your Fingertips

The top-mounted volume control, 2-band EQ, and tuner are right where you need them for on-the-fly adjustments. The guitar's thinline body sounds great unplugged or through your PA, backed up by Fishman's proven Sonicore pickup and the AEQ210TF preamp.

Bar guitar....

I've recently been going to jams in bars again and was also asked to join a band - I needed a inexpensive acoustic/electric with an undersaddle piezo pickup for playing loud. Wanted something that would not break my heart or the bank if it was scratched/dented/broken/stolen so I took a chance on this baby! Right out of the box the first thing I noticed is how light this guitar is! The next thing is that it is nicely made - everything fits with minimal gaps, no glue blobs and a nice consistent satin finish. The neck is a bit narrower (not thinner) than the Taylor Dreads I use for singer/songwriter duties. I immediately replaced the strings with a set of Elixir .012's and I added some relief in the neck to eliminate buzzing and rattling when using a capo way up the neck and strumming hard - that's to accommodate my heavy right hand. It was set up very nicely for easy playing right out of the box. It sounds great thu a PA, has a built in tuner, treble, bass, volume and phase controls, battery is readily accessible and did I mention it is light? Also got the AEG10C case which is a perfect fit. It is everything I needed with the unexpected surprise of being very nicely built for the price.

Truly the acoustic guitar for electric players

When Ibanez announced this series of acoustic guitars at NAMM 2017 as "the acoustic designed for electric guitar players", I was intrigued. Wanting a similar level of playability from an acoustic, and something with a slimmer profile, I decided to give this model a try. I must say, this guitar hits all the checkboxes. Out of the box, the action is very low and playable, just where I wanted it. It's very light yet doesn't feel cheaply made at all. Being a slimmer profile, it is a bit more on the quiet side then a full sized acoustic, but I bought this for casual playing around the house so I don't mind; the volume is just perfect for me. I also love the matte finish and appreciate the lack of gloss to be found on the finish.
