Ibanez AEW23ZW

My "Tackie" died (electronics), so I just bought this Ibanez AEW23ZW. I really love it ~ especially with its two outputs...that can be directed to two different amps/.effects, or what ever your imagination can come up with...The versatility of this guitar is amazing, not to mention its great play-ability and sound. So I must confess that I'm very pleased with this "critter" and will enjoy it for a long time. Oh...using the XLR out through a hi/Lo impedance adapter will give you interesting results...it then a matter of decisions....if you're playing through a PA and using two channels - you can split your sound and effects to create a fantastic stereo sound....your options are limited to your imagination. Using this through a coffee-house environment through a PA wired stereo through four speakers (surround-sound effect),...its a real high when you are in the center of it all.... Yeah...I love it!

great guitar

Let me start by saying that acoustic guitars don't excite very much. I am a die hard electric player that owns many top shelf electric guitars. I teach guitar at a local guitar shop and get to play many types and styles of guitars. Ive been playing guitar over 40 years. The gigging I am now doing will eventually require some electric acoustic playing. I could not deal with playing my ovation sitting down as it constantly would slip up and down due to the rounded back. It need to be replaced. Geoff Allen is my sales engineer at Sweetwater who I have purchased many guitars and related products from. Geoff is extremely knowledgeable and suggested a couple of different guitars based on what was important to me. I decided on the Ibanez and am very satisfied with this choice. The cost was a big consideration and this guitar really delivers a great value for the money. I really like the neck as it is not your typical acoustic style. Plays more like an electric style and the cutaway is fantastic to access the 12 fret and beyond if required. This is my first Ibanez guitar and the attention to detail is remarkable! Absolutely flawless in every respect. The zebra would is stunning and always gets flattering comments. The guitar sounds great acoustically and really wakes up when amplified. As I mentioned acoustic guitars don't get too fired up but if you are in the market for an extremely high quality manufactured guitar without dropping a bundle I cannot see how you could be the least disappointed in this Ibanez offering. Great sound, stunning and unique looks with great playability. Thanks to Geoff Allen for his suggestion. Cannot say enough good things about Sweetwater's staff and service.Total pros!
