Great Desk and looks even better than the photo!

Great desk! This is the best desk I have ever owned. A little on the expensive side but you get what you pay for.

Great desk with a few flaws

By Louis Bellofatto from Danbury, CT on February 12, 2013 Music Background: Pro Musician, Project Studio Owner

First the pros. Great design, well engineered and heavy duty. First desk I've owned/seen with a midi controller shelf at the right height for playing and designed to hold the weight of an 88 key controller.
Now the cons. The assembly instructions were terrible. This would have been a breeze to assemble if the instructions corresponded to the hardware changes that were made. Only my past assembling experience got me through this hiccup. Some of the pre-drilled holes on the legs didn't line up properly and the valances on the rear were a b**** to get on. (Again, better directions would have helped) Shipping materials were environmentally unfriendly (lots of styrofoam and plastic wrap), but then again, it made it from CA to CT undamaged.
Because of the great design, I'll be able to disassemble and reassemble this unit for moving as many times as necessary. And from the looks of it, it should last me that long.

Ultimate Project Studio Desk

By Ben Allen from United States on October 1, 2012 Music Background: Producer

Given the price tag of this monster, you would expect that it would fulfill all of your hopes and dreams for a desk. Well, this desk delivers! Talk about massive, I can fit all of my gear and more on this desk. The rack spaces are especially great. The finish is quite nice, be careful what you use to clean it, the surface streaks with certain cleaners. Great desk, I would recommend it to anyone who places a high value on ergonomics. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star review is because when the desk was delivered to me, some essential screws were missing, and they weren't the kind that you can get at Lowe's or ACE. But, KK Audio had new screws at my door in two days.

Great desk for a serious project studio

By Chris from Fairfax, VA USA on June 14, 2012 Music Background: Pro Musician, Recording Engineer, Home Studio

This desk is a real joy to sit down to. I was a little worried that the keyboard drawer would get in the way or cause the main work surface to be to high to work comfortably but because of the concave curve of the front edge of the desk, the tray slides back far enough to be out of the way of your legs. The legs are slightly adjustable too. Having instant access to my Roland RD-700GX (55 pounds) whenever I want it and then being able to put it away just as quickly without even getting up from my seat is just awesome.

The surface area of the desk is huge! I have plenty of room for a plethora of gear like compact controllers, an iPad, notebooks and more. Even the monitor pedestals are large enough to accomodate 2 sets of descent sized monitors for comparative listening. Having 8 RU's worth of rack gear always within easy reach right in front of you is a huge plus as well.

The build quality is solid too. (It better be for this price.) It was dropped shipped to my house and my friend and I were able to put it together fairly easily and quickly with a screwdriver and wrench. The directions could've been a little clearer but we managed it without any problems. This is the sort of desk that will last you a very long time.

The only thing I wish this desk included was a cable management system. Be prepared to work out a solution yourself. A simple cable trough along the back is all I need. The price is a little steep too. Drop shipping is an additional $300 flat rate anywhere is the USA. Ouch!

Overall, I'm very happy with this desk. It's not for everyone but it's perfect for the serious project or home studio and a great choice for the musician/engineer. My Sales Engineer, Matt Adams, was helpful as always and I'm very satisfied with this purchase.
