Fits Like a Glove!
I was looking for a case for an older vintage "Made in USA" Ovation that I had picked up at a pawn shop years ago. I had always kept it in a crappy old ragged case just to be protected.
It's nice it finally has a proper case where it doesn't bang around inside the case.

The case is made very well and gives me a sense of security, knowing my guitar is safe from the elements and any damage. I am so happy I chose to spend a little more than planned because this hard case will last a lifetime, which ensures my guitar will too. Arrived today in perfect condition
This case fits my Ovation mid-back guitar perfectly. It is well-fitting which is very important during the wintertime in Minnesota where we experience very low humidity levels. Would not hesitate to purchase this again.

Bought this for my Ovation Celebrity.
The case is very well built and has a good seal when closed to protect the guitar from the elements.
The guitar fits well (even with a strap attached).
The only thing that could be better is that the storage compartment is a bit small, but I still was able to fit a truss rod wrench, a 20' cable, a microfiber cloth and a couple packs of strings in it. Pretty much all I need.
Perfect Replacement Case
I purchased a 1991 Adamas II (with the original style wood volume and tone controls on the top of the bowl), but was told the case wasn't in great condition. It closed and latched with a bit of difficulty and the inside was worn out. I emailed Ovation's customer service to be sure that this case was a proper fit to replace the original brown case. I was told that both of the Ovation cases (8158 and 9158) were designed to accommodate all the variations of knobs on the Ovations. The 9158 was just a bit more plush.
I decided to order from Sweetwater and am very happy I did. The case fits perfectly and arrived within three days. It is as sturdy as I expected, but was surprised that it seemed a bit lighter than the original brown case. Brad emailed and called to let me know the case was on its way and to contact him with any questions or additional guitar needs I have. If you want a study lightweight case for your deep bowl Ovation, this case is a great deal.
Ovation Case
Recently bought an Ovation Celebrity from my nephew but it did not have a case. After researching the case I needed, I found two options available via Sweetwater. I chose the 9158 and could not be happier. Case is very sturdy yet lightweight and very balanced. Case fits the guitar like a glove! Sweetwater offered a good price on the case and provided excellent customer service from the point of sale through delivery. I might add the packaging of the case was definitely over the top. No way was this case getting even a slight scratch on it during delivery.

A very easy transaction
I had been searching for a replacement case for my Ovation Legend for some time--principally on EBay. But no one would guarantee that their case being offered would, in fact, fit my guitar. Then I ran across Sweetwater. I emailed them asking what case would fit my guitar. Literally within minutes they responded with two options. I placed the order at 4:00 pm and the case showed up at my door the following morning--no extra charge (no shipping charge at all.) The case is perfect and they even contacted me afterwards to insure they case had a) arrived and b) was what I needed. Nothing short of "Wow" in the customer service department.

Solid case
I am happy I went with the best choice for my Ovation CE44. I would rather have a case take the bumps and scratches than the risk of using a soft case or a thinner shell case. The seal it tight and the lining fits it like a glove.

Great Case
I bought this case along with my Ovation Celebrity Standard Plus. The case fits my guitar like a glove. Overall, I feel my guitar is extremely safe riding in this case. The only complaint, a minor one at that, is that the accessory compartment is quite small and cramped. I have the truss rod wrench, extra picks, a polish cloth and an extra set of strings in there and it is stuffed. A little bit of extra room would have been nice. But as I said in the title, great case and must have for an Ovation guitar.
The only kind of case for an ovation guitar
After 35 years, I decided to pack in my old ovation case. The broken handle which I repaired twice, was the last straw. It took a few calls back and forth to be sure of getting the right size, but case was a perfect fit. The handle is a bit heavier and more comfortable than the original. Otherwise, the case is pretty much identical to my old one. Because of the round back design, the storage compartment in the Ovation case is not as big as other cases but there's not much that could be done about it. It's looks great and does a great job protecting my guitar.
Ovation Delux Molded Acoustic Guitar Case
Love the new case. My guitar fits nicely inside, well protected by the plush lining and custom molded body. The "feet" that protect the case from scuffs no matter which way you set it down are very robust and I was surpised by how light the case is. This baby is a tank
I haul my guitar all over the country in the cab of a semi, frosty north the hot and humid south in one days driving. My Ovation CC24-4q Celebrity rides in this case all the time. Then I have to drag it out past the steering wheel and clankety-bang my way to the ground, trudge throught the snow/rain/heat to the truck stop to play in the trucker church on Sunday morning. With the bank vault of a case, I have no worries whatever that my guitar will be in top shape when I open the case and tune it up. Plus I like the fancy logo on the outside and inside. I bought the 8158 for my brothers guitar, but when I got one for myself, I had to upstage him. Love the case.
SATISFIED...AGAIN
Received this used case as described. Actually it was in much better condition than I thought it would be. The only thing needed to address the logo issue was Rhino Glue. Thought I'd be waiting forever for this case. I should never underestimate you guys/gals. Thanks again, Sweetwater!

Not as good as I hoped.
It's a little TOO snug on my deep bowl Ovation 2758 12 string. I almost felt like I was going to break the guitar when I was latching the case.
The ribbon strap the keeps it from opening too far is a little too short so there is no way the case will stay open on its own.
It looks great, though the direction of the Ovation logo inside the case strikes me as a little odd.
Good case but not great
I purchased this case to replace a very worn Road Warrior case. The Ovation case is attractive with the logos and contoured shape but I found the fit to be less snug than the Road Warrior. I would be hesitant to fly with my Ovation guitar in this case without a lot of extra packaging to protect the guitar from moving while in transit. The handle was comparable but again nothing special and the latches were not as sturdy.
