Grand Concert body style gives you comfort, clarity, and balanced tone

Want an acoustic guitar that's perfect for tracking? Taylor's Grand Concert body style gives you clarity and balanced tone that sits beautifully in thicker arrangements where a larger-bodied acoustic would take up too much real estate.
The Taylor 812 acoustic guitar's smaller body and tapered waist not only make it the ultimate studio and stage guitar, but its short scale and lighter string tension also make it easier to play - perfect for younger players with small hands.

Premium Taylor quality for smooth playability and great sound that only gets better with age

There's nothing like a Taylor. Once you get your hands on the 812, you'll never want to play anything else! But, what is it that makes a Taylor acoustic so good? For starters, each Taylor is made out of premium tonewoods, for great sound that only gets better with age. You'll also love the easy playing neck. Even if you're primarily an electric player, you'll feel totally comfortable getting around on this neck. Another Taylor hallmark is their commitment to consistent quality and attention to detail - no flawed "built on a Friday afternoon" guitars here! From the innovative neck joint to the durable, top-notch finish, your Taylor is built to play and sound absolutely great, right from the moment you pick it up. Don't settle for less; treat yourself to a Taylor!

Beautiful Taylor gloss finish

The finish used to create Taylor 812 acoustic guitar's lustrous gloss top, back, and sides was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking, while enhancing the tone of the instrument. This ultra violet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes.

Taylor 812 Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar Features:
  • Short-scale Grand Concert
  • Solid Sitka spruce top; solid Indian rosewood back and sides
  • Tropical mahogany neck; ebony fingerboard and bridge
  • Curly maple binding; gold tuners
  • Pearl 800 Series fingerboard
  • Hardshell case included
Taylor's 812 Grand Concert is a distinctive, ultra-playable beauty!

Wow! Amazing Acoustic Guitar!

Wow, just wow! Do yourself a favor and try this Taylor 812 Guitar. This is the nicest playing and most amazing sounding guitar I have ever played. The finish and workmanship of the guitar is perfect. The highs, lows and sustain on this guitar are unbelievable. The guitar sounds great whether finger picking or strumming with a pick. Sweetwater is a great company to deal with. The guitar was set up and tuned perfectly, by far the best internet purchase experience I have ever had. I will definitely buy from Sweetwater again!

Taylor 812 - Natural

By far the nicest steel string acoustic guitar I've ever owned. The sound is superb as is the playability. The craftsmanship is the best I've seen on any production guitar. No plastic anywhere. The maple bindings are perfect. Nice touch with the rosewood pick guard. My sales rep Steven Oppenheim was extremely helpful and knowledgable. I highly recommend this guitar and Sweetwater for your next purchase.
