    Old Time Picker

Taylor 810, No Electric, Yes I Love it.

Its the Old Time Picker again, This time I'm holding the nicest Guitar I've never seen. That's right I've never and will never see this new Sweetheart I'm blind so I look at Guitars with my ears and hands, And I can tell you its one of the best sounding guitars I own, I have a Martin HD35 and It sounds every bit as good as my Martin HD35 but just a little diff, But I wouldn't say it sounds better but just as wonderful, And fit and finish is perfect, As is my Martin HD35, So as far as sound taylor 810 or Martin HD35 are almost the same but just a little diff. Martin a little more Basey but that's it, So if your looking for a great guitar just pick what looks pretty to you and can be sure you will be happy with the sound of both. I really couldn't say wich I would take if I could only have one, But I think it would be the-----------------, I couldn't be more pleased with my sales person Chris Nunley he does a great job for me every time, Thanks Sweetwater for making my day again. Until next time,,,,The Old Time Picker,,, PS My wife Bunny of 31 years and the Love of my life says this is the prettiest looking and prettiest sounding guitar I own, And my Puppy Mr. Snickers loves to sing along with me singing Tip Toe Through The Tulips heheheheh

This guitar is simply amazing! I'm no professional, not even close, but I own over a dozen acoustic guitars, including a Martin DR, Gibson Dove, and J185. This guitar blows them away. My other guitars haven't even left their cases since I purchased the 810. Sweetwater makes it so easy to own one of these gems, and Jason Kovach is always very helpful. I couldn't be more pleased!

    Pro Musician

I've been a professional touring musician for over 20 years now and I've owned many acoustic guitars. I play acoustic live quite a bit and I'm more than picky about the sound. I can't even began to tell you how great the revamp 800 Taylor series is. Andy Powers just killed it. I own other Taylor 800 series guitars and this is a whole different ball game. Paul at Sweetwater is easily one of the best guys I've ever dealt with and I was more than nervous buying a guitar I'd never played. I'm truly shocked at the balanced tone this guitar has. The bass is amazingly low but not muddy at all, and the high end sings without being brittle. I bought this as a backup to my 814 to take on the road but at this point I'm not sure I'm ever letting it leave the studio. I put the LR Baggs element pickup in it and it's a perfect fit. You will not be disappointed in getting this guitar. I've played it every day since I got it and I'm constantly amazed at what this guitar can do. Of the 15 guitars I own this is my favorite by a long shot.

    Amazing Guitar

I'm a professional touring musician and primarily play the acoustic guitar. I've owned, swapped, and traded about 100 acoustic guitars throughout my career. This is the best sounding dreadnought I've ever played by a long shot. The low end is very soothing without being boomy and it has a very articulate high end without being brittle. Andy Powers knocked it out of the park with the redesign of the 800 series. I have a 814ce pre 2014 and this is really a completely different animal.

I know it's expensive but it's worth taking a second job to save up for it. It really is that good.

    Great Guitar

Have this model with a LR Baggs Anthem and it sounds great unplugged or amped. I'm not much of a fan of the expression systems that Taylor has rolled out so was excited to try this option with a 3rd party pickup. I also have a Martin HD 28V and this stacks up really well...it's not as loud as the Martin nor does it have as much low end, but the playability on the neck is much better and overall balance of the sound is really good. I find myself gravitating to it more than the Martin.
