Taylor 718e Grand Orchestra
I must admit that I am a huge fan of Taylor and its never ending search for the perfect guitar. I have owned and loved Martin guitars as well as some older Guild and Sigma models, but Bob Taylor's commitment to his ongoing love affair with never being content has led to what I believe is one of his company's most innovative and complex model to date. I purchased the 718e and have not put it down yet. It is just as it is advertised. A full deep low end (not too boomy) and a sparkling high end. Whether you enjoy aggressive strumming or a smooth finger style approach, this will accommodate both equally well. I have #88 of 100 made in the First Edition and this is the perfect guitar for me. I am not one for all the extras or appointments that make a guitar "prettier" but I am in to great tone. This sunburst edition is just right. Premium wood and nice little touches are the key! Taylor was not exaggerating when they claimed it did not take much effort to create the sound you prefer. The parabolic hybrid bracing along with the other changes Andy made have created a model that truly stands alone. This is my first experience with Sweetwater who a friend from NAMM recommended. I will be back. Pure professionalism at its best. Thanks Ryan M.
