Amazing Amp

Let me start off by saying I have never purchased a musical instrument or amplifier over the Internet. In thirty years of playing guitar, I have always wanted to lay my hands on both prior to purchase. However, based upon the reviews of this amp and Sweetwater, I took decided to take a chance and I am glad I did! This amp is unbelievable. It has that crystal clear Fender tone and breaks up nicely. One of my early teachers played through an early 70's Twin and that thing sounded awesome, but was too loud for playing at home. At 22W, the Deluxe Reverb is perfect for home practice and I cannot wait to play out with it. One final point, the customer service at Sweetwater is second-to-none. My sales engineer, Ryan Wiltermood, reached out to me within hours of my order to thank me for the purchase and make sure I didn't have any questions. Then, I was provided constant updates on the status of the order and delivery.

The Holy Grail of Guitar Amps!

I used to buy these in Dallas pawn shops for $100.00 in the 60's. Everybody knew even back then that this was the only Amp that you could get GOD TONE from without breaking your back with big cabinets, or getting thrown out of night clubs for being to loud. The guitar solos on just about everything you hear that was recorded in the 60's and 70's was done with these. Recording engineers LOVED these things because they didn't BLAST everybody else out of the studio and bleed over onto all the other tracks. One of the key advantages of these amps was that they were light enough to carry up and down stairs and in and out of night clubs without killing yourself. Sweetwater hit the Jackpot with this combination of very cool retro looks and the fantastic sounding P12Q Jensen speaker. Sometimes I just uncover it and look at it...because it looks so cool! I have been a Texas Blues Guitarist since 1968 and have never found anything that sounds any better than this amp. It's worth every penny! Thanks Nick LaMendola for another Great Deal!

Best Clean Amp Ever!

I read so many reviews about this classic amp and how highly coveted the vintage PTP (point to point) is but this is as great and exactly how a classic tone sound it should be. I play mostly between 3 or 4 on the volume, 5 on the treble, 4 on the bass, 3 on the Spring and 3 on the Vibrato for subtle effect. I kick on the Analog Man King of Tone to give it a nice clean boost and to keep the sound consistent. I don't try to go past 6 because it gets massively over driven and I like that sometimes but not all the time. I prefer the cleanest tone. So, if you guys like a clean amp and or over driven sound of this classic Black Face. Buy One!!
