An All-mahogany Beauty with Incredibly Smooth Sound

The Taylor 526ce acoustic-electric guitar's all-mahogany construction works in concert with its Grand Symphony shape to create a dynamic instrument with thick yet focused mids, smooth, slightly compressed highs, and beautiful overtones. Performance bracing yields incredible volume and tonal richness. Appointments like a faux tortoiseshell pickguard and rosette, faux tortoiseshell/grained ivoroid binding, and grained ivoroid Century fingerboard inlays add to the beauty of this fine guitar. Complete with Expression System 2 electronics for world-class onstage performance, the Taylor 526ce acoustic-electric guitar is destined to be a part of your collection.

All-mahogany body delivers amazing thickness and warmth

The Taylor 526ce's all-mahogany body not only looks stunning, it also yields a thick, present midrange and exquisite-sounding overtones, especially when you dig into its fingerboard. Everything you play on the 526ce is bathed in an organic warmth that sounds phenomenal. Right from the first strum, the exceptionally smooth sound of the 526ce will make everybody sit up and take notice.

Grand Symphony body style: huge, balanced tone with articulation

Bob Taylor developed the Grand Symphony body style to push the sonic envelope (yet again). Deeper, fuller, and louder than a dreadnought, the Taylor 526ce acoustic-electric guitar serves up sonorous, piano-esque lows, solid midrange, and confident treble. Whether strummed or flatpicked, the Taylor 526ce gives your notes articulation - even with a light attack. The Grand Symphony is a body style that means it. At Sweetwater we love expressive and toneful acoustic guitars, and the Taylor 526ce definitely fits that bill.

Taylor Expression System 2 electronics deliver superior sound onstage

If you play plugged in, then you're going to love the Taylor Expression System 2 (ES2) electronics built into your 526ce acoustic-electric guitar. The key to this fantastic system is the 3-section proprietary pickup located behind the saddle. Because of where it's positioned and how it's integrated into the Taylor 526ce's saddle, the ES2 pickup provides you with remarkably clear and accurate sound. In addition to a master volume control, a pair of tone controls lets you tweak your highs and lows to get the sound you need, and a discreet phase switch offers vital onboard feedback suppression.

Taylor 526ce 6-string Acoustic-electric Guitar Features:
  • All-mahogany body delivers a thick, organic sound
  • Grand Symphony body style yields a huge, balanced tone with articulation
  • Performance Bracing yields a rich, vibrant voice
  • Ebony fingerboard provides phenomenal comfort and playability
  • Grained ivoroid Century fretboard inlays creates an eye-catching appearance
  • Taylor Expression System 2 electronics deliver a natural amplified sound
  • Shaded edgeburst gloss finish offers protection and good looks
The Taylor 526ce is a remarkable all-mahogany acoustic-electric guitar!

Taylor 526ce

I special ordered my Taylor 526ce from Roq Martin at Sweetwater. I wanted a Florentine cutaway and a slimmer tapered neck, which are both options offered by Taylor. It took a little longer to arrive than I was initially told (probably because it was over the Christmas holidays), but my sales rep kept in contact with me to let me know exactly when it would arrive. I also asked for Sweetwater's guitar techs to set up my guitar with lighter strings. When it arrived it played beautifully, right out of the box. Taylor's build quality is amazing. If you've never owned a Taylor, do yourself a favor and get yourself one. I've done quite a bit of business with Sweetwater over the past two years. Their prices are competitive, their customer service is great, and you get free shipping. I'll be back.
