Lutz spruce and tropical mahogany deliver exquisite tone

The Taylor 510e's tropical mahogany body produces a warm, lively sound that's framed beautifully by the crisp overtones provided by its Lutz spruce top. Lutz spruce is a natural hybrid of Sitka and white spruce, and it imbues the 510e with phenomenal clarity.

Classic dreadnought shape delivers excellent tone and volume

The powerful voice and unrivaled projection of the traditional dreadnought body style has made it the choice of strummers and flatpickers throughout history. The naturally deep lows, crisp highs, and open, airy midrange of Taylor's dreadnought body help to balance the 510e's tone, yielding a sound that's equally at home with traditional bluegrass as it is with modern acoustic rock. If you're looking for a guitar that can handle aggressive picking and driving rhythms, you're going to love the Taylor 510e.

Taylor Expression System 2 electronics deliver a natural amplified sound

If you play plugged in, then you're going to love the Taylor Expression System 2 (ES2) electronics built into the 510e. The key to this fantastic system is the 3-section proprietary pickup located behind the saddle. Because of where it's positioned and how it's integrated into the 510e's saddle, the ES2 pickup provides you with remarkably clear and accurate sound. In addition to a master volume control, a pair of tone controls let you tweak your highs and lows to get the sound you need, and a discreet phase switch offers vital onboard feedback suppression.

Taylor 510e 6-string Acoustic-electric Guitar Features:
  • Lutz spruce and tropical mahogany provide a warm, yet clear tone
  • Classic dreadnought tone with crisp highs and powerful lows
  • Performance Bracing yields a rich, vibrant voice
  • Ebony fingerboard provides phenomenal comfort and playability

Taylor hit it out of the park with this one!

As a seasoned player with many years of experience. I have to be painfully honest here. Tone, playability and Beauty. It has all Ive been looking for in a dreadnought for years! The soft V, shorter scale, 1 3/4 nut width and its a slothead dread. The minute I held It knew it was the one. Clear, Bright, loud, focused even tone accross the intire fretboard! Every note resonates. I cant imagine what it will sound like in ten years. I highly recomend this to anyone looking for the ultimate dreadnaught. Yes you can spend alot more but you will not find this combination of awsome features. Thank you Uncle Bob....

What? Another Taylor to my Collection? You Bet !

The "Taylor 510e Dreadnought w/Electronics - Natural" is my first dreadnaught model, and I am not disappointed! It is lightweight, and has a gorgeous sound. The bass tones are warm, strong, and sustain. The mid and high ranges also cut through. The easy action is also an advantage in having this guitar. I bought it on a three year plan, and was so happy with it I paid it in full right away. I would venture a guess that the Lutz spruce top has something to do with the resonance of the tone coming from this guitar. The size of this guitar has not bothered my body's short frame and short arms. Dealing with Sweetwater in purchasing both expensive and inexpensive equipment brings me complete satisfaction as a customer. From "CEO" to staff, they check back with me to make sure I am satisfied. Hello Nick ! Thanks for your help and concern !
