Replacing Gibson G Force Tuning System

The Grover Rotomatics are drop-in replacements for the G Force, easy DYI, especially with on line videos available. The high gear ratio enables very accurate tuning, and the locking tuners make for quick string changes. I combined this change with a replacement nut, since the brass nut on the guitar wears badly and catches the strings. Gibson provided a free titanium replacement, but ultimately I went with the Graph Tech TUSQ XL (PQL-6110-00) based upon tone preference. Between the nut and new tuners, the intonation is much more stable, especially when bending strings, and the guitar stays in tune. I much prefer the look and feel of the manual tuners, as well, but that is just personal opinion. The Rotomatics are an easy upgrade and come with different finishes. Highly recommended.

Excellent Upgrade

I upgraded the stock Grover tuners on my Gretsch 5622t-cb to these and they greatly enhanced the tuning stability. I went from tuning every 5-10 minutes to tuning once or twice during hourlong playing sessions, including frequent bends and use of the Bigsby tremolo. These have the same footprint as the factory installed Grovers, so replacing them took less than 10 minutes and required no mods to the guitar. Having the locking tuners really simplified the string change--they acted like an extra set of hands, which is helpful when stringing a guitar w/ a Bigsby. I would have gladly paid slightly more for my guitar if these came standard. I wish I made this change a year ago when I got the guitar. They look and work great.

Grover Roto-Grip Locking Rotomatics 3+3

The tuning heads fit perfect on my old Yamaha FG 365s. Installation was very easy. The guitar stays in tune.

Best Locking Tuners

String changes were never quicker. Keeps tuning rock solid. Did away with my Floyd Rose bridge/locking nut guitars. A set of these and you can dive bomb, etc. on any decent tremolo bridge. Quick retuning for alternate tunings are a breeze. Tried the rest. Got these on all of my guitars. Excellent.

2 grovers just won t hold

A and G string Grovers just won't hold. This is in a brand-new Les Paul. Grover people replaced the two right away. Turnaround time was three days amazing. That's why I love Grovers now I got six that work really HOLD Great. I'm going to upgrade to locking Grover tuners shortly. Grover Makes locking tuners that replaces it perfectly thanks for listening John
