    Cuts through on Stage

Prior to purchasing the Taylor 416ce, I had been using my Taylor K10ce, 410ce, 314ce and two models of 12 strings. I had also for fun used my son's GS mini as my family all play for our churches worship band; primarily contemporary Christian music. We have singer, the lead guitarist, a sync board and regular keyboard, drums, bass and a rhythm electric. I needed something that would/could cut through all that with clarity. I'd looked at the Taylor 614ce as all that I read was of it's popularity with Christian music player on stage for having that cutting tone. I personally didn't feel it was what I was looking for or needed. Then I happened to attend a Taylor Road Show. While speaking with one of the Rep's who took interest in what I was needing or at least felt I needed, I expected him to hand me the 614ce or 814ce. Instead, he handed me the 416ce. I was greatly surprised by the booming thrust and power this guitar gave. Since I run through the house, I also use an LR Bagg's Para DI and a Boss RV-5 in the mix or a LR Bagg's Venue. The latter box gives the optional boost which when used really kicks this guitar in. The Taylor 416ce has the necessary power to get it done if you are looking for an affordable and powerful stage guitar. Try one as I know you'll be genuinely delighted with the tone, playability that Taylor guitar offer.

Amazing Guitar - Excellent Service - Awesome bass response

I purchased this guitar from sweetwater and received it yesterday. I play fingerstyle mostly, yet I also like to play with a regular pick. I have
a 414ce and it just didn't ever seem to have the bass I was looking for, even with it being 11 years old! This thing has a lot of bass and the sound reminds me of a martin d28. The action was great and in tune right out of the box. Very loud guitar as well and you can strum hard with great sound. I highly recommend this guitar!

    This guitar is sweet

I have owned many guitars but nothing plays like a Taylor.

Have only had this guitar two weeks, but I love it. High end shimmer is amazing, low end rich and clear. Midrange is OK, but over-shadowed by highs and lows. I am expecting mids to fill in and richen as the wood opens up over time. Ovangkol is the true bargain in the Taylor line, this guitar sounds better than many 7 and 8 series Taylors I've played. It has a ton of volume and sustain. Finger-picking sounds good but it really shines under a flat pick. Perfectly set up right out of the box - barre chords easy, capos well. I have not recorded with it yet but am looking forward to combining the internal pick-up with a good condensor mic.
