Starts Green- Matures Nicely
The guitar is really good, not amazing, but really really good. If I had rated this guitar during my first year of ownership I would have given it lower marks - it started quite green. But after a couple years it has turned out to be a very nice guitar.
Balance - would probably be the best term to describe this guitar. It has a smooth low end and nice clean high end. It articulates nicely, the fret board is tight and very professionally finished.
In terms of the woods used, not THE best tones, but again it doesn't offend and sits very pleasingly in the middle of the spectrum.
Where I think this Taylor represents the money it cost is the addition of the integrated pickup system. I have heard better guitars that were purely acoustics in this price range, but the plugged-in sound of this guitar justifies its price.
