Custom-wound 408 pickups and switching provide endless toneWhen PRS released their Signature Limited model, everyone who got a chance to check out the new 408 pickups was absolutely blown away. But true to his perfectionist nature, Paul Reed Smith continued to tweak these 100% proprietary pickups to perfection. Paul was able to extend the guitar's tonal spectrum by narrowing the field of the bass pickup to increase its focus and widening the field of the treble pickup to increase its sound field. The PRS Sweetwater Wood Library 408 Korina Standard features a pair of these amazing 408 pickups - but it doesn't end there: you also get a pair of dedicated mini switches, so you can go to a classic, spanky single-coil sound instantly. And as a bonus, there's no volume loss when switching to single-coil mode.
