The Incredible Convenience of Locking Tuners

Grover Rotomatic 406C6 mini locking guitar tuning machine heads make quick work of tuning. With a gear ratio of 18:1, these locking tuners give you all the benefits of standard Rotomatics - plus the positive locking of Grover's internal cam post. Insert your string through the string hole, pull to tension by hand, and start to tune. As you begin tuning, only the locking cam in the string post turns. The string post begins to turn once the string is locked. In under one string post revolution, you'll be in tune. And you'll stay in tune, with Grover's Rotomatic 406C6 locking guitar tuning machines.

Grover tuners

These tuners are a VAST improvement over the tuners I replaced on my Tele knock-off. No name on them but they couldn't handle much string bending. Being a blues player that's very important, as I'm sure you know. The Grovers were easy to install and work fine. They lock automatically and, so far, I've not had any tuning problems with them. They also making stringing much easier, another plus. If you're thinking of replacing tuners, I urge you to consider these Grovers. I also urge you to buy from Sweetwater, great service and prices. No, I don't work there.
Music background: Mainly blues and roots music with some rock. I enjoy most all forms of music.

TUNE ME UP

THE STANDARD TUNERS THAT COME WITH MEXICAN NASHVILLE TELECASTERS ARE OKAY BUT AFTER A FEW YEARS THEY DON'T CUT IT. I HAVE MADE MY TELE MY GO TO AXE AND HAVE SEYMOUR DUNCAN PICKUPS , UPGRADED NUT AND BRIDGE, STRING TREES. NOW WITH THESE GROVERS MY TELE IS NOTHING SHORT OF AWESOME. I HAVE TO REALLY BEAST ON IT TO DE-TUNE IT. WHAT A BLAST!!!

Grover Lockers

Bought a cheap tele copy-SX Furrian Semi-hollowHad great tone and action but wouldn't stay in tune for a song. I deduced that the problem was in the tuners and neck joint. I tightened the neck bolts and switched out tuners. It stays in tune for days even with aggressive play.

406c6 mini Locking Rotomatic Tuners

I bought these for a peavy predator, that I picked up at a pawn shop. I had to enlarge the holes so they would fit . This was not a problem. The Automatic locking function works just fine. I had a little problem lining up the holes so I could get the strings thru. but I think next string change, all will be okay. The seem to have a good solid feel to them, and I am glad I bought them/
