Taylor V. Martin

I have a Taylor 6-string that has become my axe-of-choice. I tried an inexpensive 12-string, but it only teased me as to what a 12-string should be. I sold that 12'er and started doing my homework. I was thinking HARD about the Martin GPC12PA4. YouTube had a demo of the Martin played in a style similar to mine, (More finger-style than strumming) but I could only find the Taylor demonstrated with strumming. I was tempted strong to buy the Martin, but I feared the Fishman electronics. Being a Taylor player, I pulled the trigger and bought the 356CE. My Sweetwater consultant came through again (not the first time Robby's expertise helped me with a tough decision) and got me a great price. My Taylor came the NEXT DAY. I played the new 12-string frequently over the following days and quickly learned I was a genius for making this call! It stood-up to aggressive Kottke-style finger picking and had a golden tone like I need from my 12-String. The guitar came ready-to-play and I even learned a lot looking at the materials shipped with this AWESOME guitar. It plays like my Taylor 6-string, has great action, great "feel," great sound, and the ES2 Electronics brings that sound to the PA system spot-on. ES2 has wide dynamic range, low noise and crystal clear reproduction. I fell in love with this guitar quickly and it's already broadening my horizons. This kind of cash needs to be spent carefully. Sweetwater took my purchase VERY seriously, and I was treated with the kind of respect you once needed to cultivate at the local guitar store. BRAVO TAYLOR and SWEETWATER!

Wow! Breathtaking!

This is my 1st purchase through sweetwater, and i can honestly say that they went way beyond my expectations. Hands down, the best customer service I've experience in my 30 years of guitar playing. I received the guitar on time, and packaged with the best care. The guitar is much more gorgeous in person than the picture shows. The guitar's sound delivers as in the desciption, and IMO goes well beyond that. The craftmanship and sound sustainability is incredible. The guitar's action is comfortable, and an ease to play. The tonality is deep and rich and crisp. Well done, Taylor!
