Sitka spruce and sapele provide balanced warmth and sparkle

This 310ce acoustic-electric guitar is a prime example of the high-quality tonewoods Taylor selects for their guitars. It features time-proven Sitka spruce as its top, which gives you wonderful projection with the perfect amount of sparkle. This acoustic-electric guitar's sapele back and sides also give it a warm quality with open midrange, providing you with a well-balanced tone. Additionally, a satin finish with a gloss top offers protection, good looks, and a smooth feel to the touch.

Classic dreadnought shape delivers excellent tone and volume

The powerful voice and unrivaled projection of the traditional dreadnought body style has made it the choice of strummers and flatpickers throughout history. The naturally deep lows, crisp highs, and open, airy midrange of Taylor's dreadnought body help to balance this 310ce's tone across the full sonic spectrum, giving you a sound that lends itself equally well to traditional bluegrass and folk as it does to modern acoustic rock. If you're looking for a guitar that can handle agressive picking and driving rhythms, you're going to love this Taylor 310ce acoustic-electric guitar.

Taylor Expression System 2 electronics deliver a natural amplified sound

If you play plugged in, then you're going to love the Taylor Expression System 2 (ES2) electronics built into this 310ce acoustic-electric guitar. The key to this fantastic system is the 3-section proprietary pickup located behind the saddle. Because of where it's positioned and how it's integrated into this 310ce's saddle, the ES2 pickup provides you with remarkably clear and accurate sound. In addition to a master volume control, a pair of tone controls let you tweak your highs and lows to get the sound you need, and a discreet phase switch offers vital onboard feedback suppression.

Great guitar.

I've owned a 310ce and a 310. Both were great guitars. Gigged a ton with the 310ce and it was reliable throughout many gigs. I do a lot of alternate tunings and the guitar handled it well - including tuning the 6th string down as low as A. Yes, that's right, A below the normal E. This is a super practical, gigable guitar. The 300 series is WELL worth the money over the slightly lower priced 200 series. (The 200's are nice as well, but if you're on the fence, go for a 300 or 400 - you won't regret it from a tone / quality standpoint.) The nut is tusq, which is vegan I guess... Take that! Seriously, no problems with nut or saddle material. Need a neck reset? A Taylor technician can do that in 15 minutes. Great sounding, playable guitar.

Great Guitar

This is a great guitar and it sounds amazing. The people at Sweetwater did a great job and I am very impressed. I had to put new strings on it and adjust the truss rod but now the action is great. Thank you Sweetwater.
