Getting such a kick out of this little guy

I wasn't sure if this was for me. Was it the right size? Did it need to have electronics? How important is the wood? I got this handmade beauty and I am really taking to it's size and weight. I thought I wanted a smaller one, but this size is just fine. The woods are beautiful and tuning is easy. I took my husband's advise on the electronics, and will probably use them when I get a little repertoire.

Cordoba & Sweetwater did just fine

Sweetwater allowed me to return a tenor I wasn't happy with, and, because I'm physically challenged, had FedEx come to my remote location to pick it up. Since everything I do hurts that was most appreciated. I ordered the Cordoba hoping to go better second time around and as it turned out with a little additional set up the uke plays nice. It's not exceptionally loud, but a really sweet tone makes it worth the money. Haven't plugged it in yet, but already having a good time with it. Thanks for working with me guys!

Great little ukulele

A very nice uke with excellent electronics. I needed a ukulele that would sound good plugged in and it does. It's easy to play and has great intonation. Stays in tune nicely. Fun to play.

Kala SRTCTGCE is 120 more but 5x the instrument.

I thought this was a great Uke until my Kala SRT CTG Ce came in. Now I realize it is nothing great. It does have a solid wood front and back but the sides are laminate, acacia laminate, but laminate all the same. I thought the pick up was ok until my Kala Ka SRT CTG CE came in. The Kala was 120 more but it is literally 5x the instrument. Everything about the Kala is so far superior. If this is going to be your first Uke you will not know the difference because you will not know what your missing. Those of you who can not spend the extra 120 for the Kala, go down to the cordoba 22TKCE. Its about 150 cheaper. It has a laminate back but a solid front. If the whole uke is not solid, and this cordoba has laminate sides, you are not going to get the true benefits of a solid wood Uke anyway. There is little to no difference between the sound of this and the 22. In fact, many think the spruce and rosewood on the 22 sound far better than this model, but some think the spruce and rosewood sound too much like guitar... That is an opinion call, getting the Kala i listed above instead of this i one is beyond disputable.
