A Beautiful Custom Martin Ukulele

The 1T IZ Tenor Uke by Martin is a fitting tribute to the legendary Hawaiian musician Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. This uke is as beautiful as the music "Iz" created. Some of the premium tonewoods that went into the construction of this Martin ukulele include a solid quilted mahogany body and East Indian rosewood headplate and fingerboard. To commemorate the late Hawaiian singer, "Iz" is inlaid in Hawaiian koa over a hibiscus flower inlaid in pink awabi pearl. For a full-bodied tenor ukulele with plenty of playability and volume, check out this Martin 1T IZ Tenor Uke.

Martin 1T IZ Tenor Uke at a Glance:

  • Full-bodied tenor sound
  • Martin craftsmanship
Natural uke tone from premium tonewoods

One strum of this Martin ukulele and you'll hear the superior sound quality that only a Martin can deliver. The solid quilted mahogany body emphasizes thick mid-range tones and the East Indian rosewood fingerboard allows easy playability and a creamy richness that will leave you breathless.

Full-bodied tenor sound

This tenor ukulele is slightly larger than most ukes and has a richer, fuller sound. This makes it a great instrument for live performers and with 20 frets, you'll be able to easily reach notes that most ukuleles aren't capable of.

Martin craftsmanship

Since 1916, Martin has been building some of the world's finest ukuleles. When Martin started selling tenor ukes in 1929, they established themselves as a leader in the ukulele world by creating an instrument full of body and volume. The 1T IZ Tenor Uke is a beautiful example of why the Martin name has become synonymous with quality ukuleles.

Martin 1T IZ Tenor Uke Features:
  • Premium tonewoods that perfectly compliment the beauty of this uke
  • Solid quilted mahogany top, back, and sides for rich mid-range
  • Customized headplate gives tribute to Israel Kamakawiwo'ole
  • East Indian rosewood fingerboard
The 1T IZ Tenor Uke is a gorgeous ukulele, crafted with Martin quality!

The most beautiful sounding Martin Instrument!

Ordered this without ever seeing or playing it. I was totally blown away when I opened it up, then I strummed the first chords on it, WOW what a beautiful sound that came from this little instrument. The quilted mahogany is absolutely gorgeous! Quite a tribute to "IZ" , I now understand why the tenor ukulele was his favorite instrument. I only hope I can play as beautiful music as he did! Great job Martin! The case is also top notch. I would also like to say thank you to Sweetwater for such wonderful service and a speedy delivery!
