Infinium technology takes the hassle and expense out of tube tone

Sweetwater guitarists agree that there's no tone like tube tone. But we also know that the cost involved in owning and maintaining a tube guitar amplifier can be prohibitive. Solid-state amps have come a long way, but even the best amp model can't beat true tube tone, and Bugera's Infinium technology means no more compromising what you want. The Infinium circuit is designed to optimize the performance of your output tubes and distribute the load evenly between the tubes, giving you tonal integrity and reliability. By automatically adjusting current levels, aging tubes are compensated for and your tone retains that toasty, day one sound throughout its life. Tubes, by nature, do wear out and die - but when you play an Infinium amp, you'll never worry. This exclusive technology allows you to grab whatever replacement tube you have on hand and get back to playing - there's no matching necessary. In fact, now you can mix and match tubes to create your very own signature sound without the hassle and expense of buying matched pairs. And because Infinium is a bit like having your own guitar amp tech with you on every gig, you get up to 20 times more life out of your tubes. When it is time to change one out you'll know exactly where to go, thanks to the life-monitoring LED readout that keeps you in the know about your amp's health. Only Bugera makes the joy of owning and playing a tube amplifier this accessible and easy!

Power-switching options give you tonal flexibility

By giving you the flexibility of pentode/triode switching, the 1990 Infinium makes itself your go-to rock amp. In pentode mode you get the full 120 watts of British-like bite, giving you full sound and enough power to rock almost any stage. Triode mode drops you down 60 watts giving you a more musical, harmonic tone, perfect for recording when you need to pull the most tone you can from your amp. This amp gives you better sound than ever.

Features let you dial in classic British bite

With a cooler, streamlined look, the 1990 Infinium takes its place atop your cabinet in style. The clean and lead channels have their very own master volume and reverb controls, giving you total control over your tone. The onboard FX loop has true bypass and feeds a preamp section that features three ECC83 tubes that scream out pure '90s metal tone. Bass, mid, treble, and presence controls provide tools for tone sculpting and fine-tuning, and a post phase-inverter master volume control with true bypass gives you extra oomph when you need it and gets out of the way when you don't. Variable impedance options make this all-tube guitar amplifier a great companion for almost any speaker cabinet and, thanks to exceptional construction and components, you'll be rocking the handbuilt 1990 Infinium for years to come. They've even included a dual-control footswitch - this amp is a superb value!

Bugera 1990 infinium 120 w Amp Head

I found this Amp thru month's of research looking for "THE" Amp and found this Amp. the Bugera Infinium 120 watt head. I am running this thru a 4X12 cab. I read all the reviews good and bad, and I saw a common thread. GOOD MARSHALL TONES!! Loud and powerful, I have played thru hundreds of amps thru my 35+ years, Marshall 1969 plexi , Mesa,Carvin, Fender, This is nothing like any amp I have played before. I rank it up there with my 69 Plexi, ( and I didn't pay $5,200 for it) $399.00) Right out of the box and straight in to the amp. What a rumble, Sweet clean and Hot overdrive,SMOKIN!!! this is such a good amp from country, to Metal. Buy it you wont be sorry!! Thanks to Sam Hillman, and all the other techs at Sweetwater for all there help. 2 day shipping was nice too!!

First!Lol

I am blown away...at how this amp does at vintage Marshall tones. I thought this was used more for higher gain stuff so I never checked it out. I even ordered the 1960 Infinium first because these are the kind of vintage Marshall circuits I like. I have a 78' Marshall 2203 and a couple of DSL's. I love certain Marshall tones for what I play. The 1990 absolutely kills tone wise vs price point. If the QC issues have been fixed before the Infinium models then this is a game changer. I feel like I'm cheating on Marshall with this amp. It smokes at clean, clear tight saturation that is Very vintage sounding and dynamic. I play blues/rock/hard rock. I don't do heavier stuff. The 1990 through my 5153 G12M'd cab is a beautiful thing. It loves my Dimarzio SD's. Pure classic to hard rock Marshall tones. The clean channel with gain dimed is a beautiful JMP like experience. The Lead Channel can do low gain to mid gain nicely but really gets a meaty hard rock tone that's addictive at volume. The amps thumps in either. I haven't even used it at 120watts. 60 watts or half power is perfect with my cab and it thumps. I'm very happy with the vintage tones in this amp. I may have to buy another. It's plug and play including the power tubes. Mix and match. I'm leaving mine stock it sounds so good. I have plenty of tubes including NOS/ANOS. It sounds great out of the box.
