Marshall 1912 1x12" 150-watt Extension Cabine

Great product and the shipping time was incredible. Customer service is always exceptional as well.

Great cab, not so great speaker

I use this speaker mostly with a Marshall DSL 15W head, also with my JVM 210C combo, but had to replace the speaker due to a bad burnt wiring smell and overheated magnet on the G12B 150 W. I contacted Celestion, and they are looking into it, replaced with a Celestion Alnico Cream 90W which sounds really great. The cab has wonderful sounding wood and projects sound nicely, just got a bad speaker, maybe defective (so you may have better luck than I had with the original G12B). I usually play with lots of gain, classic rock styles and like to switch between clean and scream, this is great for my playing styles and sound. Service from Sweetwater is always very personal and I always get a call from Paul Rowan, my rep, and he makes sure I get my order in a timely manner and without error, he has been a great help to me!

Dark and fizzy

be aware, this cabinet has a bass driver and I did not know when I bought it. I am a guitaarist and I could not get a good distortion sound, I would describe the speaker as very fizzy. I gave up and ended replacing the speaker with a Celestion Redback, overall it was a huge disappointment because it is not a cheap cabinet,

Marshall 1912 Quality Controll

I have no issue with the cabinet. It sounds like a Marshall, and I have nothing to compare it with. I'm happy with the sound. However, the aesthetics of the cabinet leave a lot to be desired, especially after paying a premium for the make in England tag. The feet on the cabinet are unbalanced and rock back and forth like a table in a cheap diner. The "1912" emblem is also off centered. Originally, I noticed these things out of the box and though, as long as it sounds right, I'm good with it. However, after paying a premium ($600) for the made in England, higher quality materials, I am disappointed in the quality control. I'm looking at it right now and I bothers me to no end that the "1912" is not square with the cabinet.
