Amazing Taylor 12-string Value

With its slender, fast neck, the Taylor 150e 12-string left-handed acoustic-electric guitar gives you Taylor's signature playability and tonal clarity in an exceptionally high-value package. This guitar's dreadnought body delivers robust low-end response that balances beautifully with the silky octave shimmer, for a tone that's lush, yet articulate, with tons of dynamic range. The 150e features layered sapele back and sides and a solid Sitka spruce top, for vibrant tone with healthy projection. And when you take the stage with your 150e, Taylor's ES2 electronics amplify that great tone to perfection.

Taylor 150e 12-string Left-handed Acoustic-electric Guitar at a Glance:

Choice tonewoods give you superior tone

The 150e is a prime example of the high-quality tonewoods Taylor selects for their guitars. It features time-proven Sitka spruce for its top, which gives you wonderful projection with the perfect amount of sparkle. The 150e's layered sapele back and sides also give it a warm, mellow quality, similar to that of mahogany, for an all-around balanced tone. The finest materials wouldn't be noteworthy without Taylor's rapt attention to detail and commitment to consistent quality. From the innovative neck joint to the durable, top-notch finish, your Taylor is built to play and sound absolutely great, right from the moment you pick it up. Don't settle for less; treat yourself to a Taylor!

Taylor's Expression System 2 delivers incredibly natural sound with full dynamics

Traditionally, acoustic-electric guitars have employed under-saddle piezo transducers, but Taylor goes about it a bit differently. Their Expression System 2 uses a proprietary pickup behind the saddle. The pickup's three individually calibrated, precisely positioned piezo-electric sensors respond organically to the instrument's acoustic energy as it's transferred through the saddle. In concert with Taylor's custom-designed preamp (which delivers a 25% hotter signal), the result is a natural acoustic sound with incredible dynamic range and responsiveness to your pick or finger attack. Sweetwater's guitar gurus are mightily impressed with Taylor's Expression System 2. Whether you're onstage through a PA, plugged into an acoustic amp, or direct into recording software, the ES2 faithfully conveys the voice of a Taylor guitar.

Addictive playability, for a guitar you can't put down

There's nothing like a Taylor. Sweetwater Sales Engineers have long recommended them for their playability and exceptional tonal clarity (which makes them perfect for recording). But what is it that makes a Taylor acoustic so good? For starters, each Taylor is made out of premium tonewoods, for great sound that only gets better with age. You'll also love the easy-playing neck. Even if you're primarily an electric player, you'll feel totally comfortable getting around on this neck. Pick up your 150e and strum a few chords. You won't want to put it down.

Taylor 150e 12-string Left-handed Acoustic-electric Guitar Features:
  • Solid spruce top with 100 Series 12-string bracing pattern
  • Layered sapele back and sides deliver rich mahogany-like tone
  • Left-handed model

Taylor 150e Left-handed

There are many fine 12-string acoustic guitars available, until you add left-handed to the description. This also adds to the problem when very few if any stores carry one for a test drive. The Tayler 150e has provided the entry point for an affordable left-handed Taylor, with the features that can make one think of their high end models. Sweetwater's return policy allows for the piece of mind when purchasing an instrument without the benefit of a test first. Reading all the reviews and watching all the videos about this guitar will leave you wondering what will arrive, though the reviews are favorable. When the box was opened, I was very surprise at the Great quality of the guitar! Very attractive and curly top, the binding and finish is top notch! The action was awesome, very low and comfortable! The sound is very load unplugged and warm and rich with a nice top end jiggle. The case, gig bag is a bonus! Tough and rugged with plenty of pocket space! The guitar has been set to an open C tuning shortly after arrival. Dropping the low E-strings down to low C has not diminished the strings in any way! Tuning the guitar up is fast and easy, well as fast as tuning a 12-string to another tuning can be anyway. This thing has been awesome and I can not seem to put it down! Nice job Taylor! Anyone looking to buy a Taylor in this price range should be very happy with this guitar. You do get what you pay for!
