Xenyx 1002FX is great for small jobs!

The price combined with features is what I went for here. I've used the smaller Behringer 5-channel boards and needed just a little bit more for my acoustic duo. It sounds great and does exactly what I need. Behringer likes bright blue power lamps. In a bright room, it is easy to see that you've got power. I use a piece of black electrical tape to cover it when I'm in a dark room. Sonically, it is very clean and the headphone amp has lots of power. Many inputs and outputs give you great flexibility when sending to mains, monitors, tape in/out, and so on.

It works great for what I'm doing.

I use this mixer to mix my laptop and keyboards in a live situation. Before I purchased this mixer I read many reviews and liked what I read. First of all it was compact I can put this mixer on top of the keyboard the two channels have preamps which are warm and clean 3 band eq as well. It has 99 fx but I use only one. I also like the control room out I use this to feed my personal monitor mix. Our soundman notice the diffrence in sound quality from this mixer it has lots of headroom. Only setback to me is the ac plug going to the mixer so I keep it pluged in and the blue power light is so bright it would almost blind me when I look at the knobs on the mixer on a dark stage otherwise I'd give it 5 stars

Working great

I'm completely new to the music production field and this is my first mixer ever - just for some context. That being said, it's been working great for what I do. I have the Korg Volca series that I've been messing around on to get myself started in this adventure, and the mixer does exactly what I needed it to do - sends them all to my monitors. The added effects are a plus - definitely appreciated and give the Volca's much more life. I do wish that each channel could have a different FX setting, but for the price, I think it's great that it comes with any FX at all. (You can set the FX level separately for each channel, just can't have different FX going on different channels - each active channel gets the effect you've selected) Other than that, I use it to feed my iPod and phone through to listen to music with my monitors, and that works great too. (with a 3.5mm to dual 1/4" adapter - or you can use a 3.5mm to RCA adapter) Only thing that could make it better would be if the stereo channels or the CD IN had EQ settings like the 2 mono channels. There's absolutely nothing to gripe about here, though - it's an excellent mixer at least for what I do, and I dig it. Great buy; no regrets.
