Great pickups!! Installed myself and it made my squier affinity sound a million times better. Great tone.

Sweet pickups

Awesome pickups. Has great highs and low lows, all very clear. These seem to be more punchier than the Fat 50s. I love them both the same, but for different reasons. Something to consider though, most people that have played my Strats prefer the Fat 50s. If you're looking for something more versatile, the Fat 50s might be a better choice. But, if you're mainly going for that era's sound, these Custom 69s are an excellent choice. Thanks again to Jason Koons and his crew for the great deal and great install.
Music background: Played for many years, but more seriously in recent years.

69 stratocaster pickup set

thanks to Sweetwater and the Fender Custom shop i can enjoy that classic 60s sound on a newer Fender Strat. There is a lot to be learned about pickup choices these days.My sales rep Zack Garrison was more than willing to explain my choices.

Clear As A Bell

I'm giving these pups five stars because they do what they're supposed to do and they do it well - they put out clear, glassy highs and fat, round lows. They respond well to pllaying nuances and put out some of their best tones when hit hard. But, they're definitely not for everyone. These may be the least familiar Strat tones. They're clear, clean and defined - sometimes punishingly so.

As good as the originals

These pickups sound as good as the ones in my old early 70's Strat. Like a blast from the past- thanks to Sweetwater!
