Music has been a passion for me since I was very young. I hail from a musical family...my father a music teacher, guitarist, and singer and my mother a classically trained pianist. As a child growing up in England, it was hard to walk around the house without tripping over a musical instrument.
Everything changed when I turned 14 years old and my father handed me a copy of Cakewalk Home Studio 2002 music production software and I began experimenting with live instrument recording and working with electronic music. This was the start of my voyage into production and engineering.
Graduating from high school, I returned to America where I studied Audio Engineering and Music Business at Greenville College. As a way to make additional income, I worked with a Malaysian company to do commercial scoring for companies such as Sony, IKEA, and Victor & Ralf. On top of that, I took every opportunity to mix music projects for my friends and signed to a label in London where I did professional dance music remix work for various artists from large and small music labels. To this day I continue to actively produce music of various styles.
Today, I enjoy using my range of experiences to help my customers make the very best choices.
As your personal contact here at Sweetwater, please let me know anytime I can offer help or advice.

Sweetwater struck me as one of the rare companies that goes far and beyond for both the customer and their employees. I had been searching for a job to utilize my musical talents and when I came across Sweetwater I realized I'd found the perfect match!
Working with DAWs, software plug ins (specifically synthesizers), electronic/dance music production.
OverClocked Remix - A website devoted to the arrangements of video game music. This was a key part of my development as a producer when I was younger, fueling my passion for composition and remixing other music.
My family is scattered across the globe. As far as my close familky, my parents, sister and her husband live in Birmingham, England and my brother and his wife live in Bowling Green, Ohio.
I enjoy staying healthy, working out, and playing sports when I have the opportunity (Soccer/Tennis/Badminton).
I've always been fascinated by the Asian music scene and discovering Japanese Pop in high school, then Korean Pop in college. Although I have no idea what the lyrics in any of the songs are, I find the background music is often very enjoyable.
Many years of experience in production and engineering has given the knowledge and enthusiasm to use to apply to my customers' situations to help them make the most of their music.
When I enter the building, I know I am finally home.
In the electronic/dance music work: Zedd and Madeon (both touring with Lady GaGa). Additionally, Jhameel from LA. I have also had commissioned work for Kylie Minogue and iSquare (Insterscope Records).
It was nice doing business with Phil and Sweetwater. He was very helpful in every respect, and I won't hesitate to contact him in the future.

Don't thank me for my purchase, I should be the one thanking you guys. I don't think I would rather order from any other company, and every sales rep I have ever spoken with has been extremely cool, polite, honest, and informative. Honestly you guys should be proud of your company and I have never been more eager to part with two grand in my life. Phil was definitely the best sales rep I've spoken with, and I have spoken to at least four regarding different pieces of pro audio gear. He not only helped with my decision to buy but also called me personally to clear up and confirm something with my order when he probably didn't have to. He was not just informative but also friendly and genuine as a person just trying to help another out. These are the kind of sales reps I didn't think existed until I figured out about this company. There are not a lot of companies whose reps truly seem to love what they do, and never try to push anything on you or influence your decision based on anything besides what will benefit you. It comes to no surprise that a company with such honesty and genuineness firmly puts their trust in a brand like Focal. Both companies are very good at what they do and let their products/services speak for themselves. If I end up becoming a professional I can truly credit both these companies for part of my success. At any rate, professional or hobbyist, I love my Focals and love producing with them more than I imagined. So I thank Focal, Phil, and Sweetwater as a whole for helping me do what I love with more accuracy and inspiration.

Hi Phil - Just wanted to thank you again for your excellent customer service and help when purchasing the beautiful new PRS Custom guitar. I've shopped with other companies before, but have never received the type of personal attention that I got from you and from Sweetwater. From start to finish, Sweetwater as a company was thorough and concise, and you were there to guide me through the process and to answer all the questions that I had. I really appreciate the fantastic service, and would shop Sweetwater again in a heartbeat.
