Why Are the Colors Reversed on My iPad?

Q: I was using my iPad recently and all of a sudden, the screen reversed colors — white became black, and so on. What happened and how do I fix it?

A: More than likely you accidentally triple-clicked the Home button on your iPad. Try triple-clicking again; it should return the screen to normal.

The triple-click action can be assigned to several functions in the Settings app, under General, at the bottom of the Accessibility settings menu.
