Universal Audio has released UAD-2 software version 7.5, which adds full AAX 64-bit support and OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) support. Version 7.5 also adds UA’s groundbreaking Unison technology, which, when used with the Apollo Duo and Quad and Apollo Twin Solo and Duo to create authentic mic preamp response, including bi-directional control and physical interplay between components. This is ably demonstrated by the response of the new 610 Tube Preamp plug-in for the UAD Powered Plug-ins platform. With Unison, the 610 preamp plug-in delivers a new level of authenticity, including harmonic detail, clipping characteristics, and unique distortion capabilities, just like with a hardware 610. The Unison technology is also supported by the API Vision channel strip plug-in.
UAD 7.5 also introduces the Dangerous Music BAX EQ, which was modeled by Brainworx to recreate the sound and vibe of the BAX EQ hardware unit. Two versions are included: BAX EQ Mix (just like the hardware) and BAX EQ Master, which adds Mid/Side processing.
