- Dave Smith Instruments Prophet ’08 Module – This killer module continues the rebirth and evolution of a classic analog synth. The original Prophet 5 was one of the first programmable, polyphonic, analog synths, and its introduction shook up the music industry in the 1980s. In addition to all of that tasty analog tone, plus some brand-new features thrown in for greater functionality and creative sound-shaping, the Prophet ’08 Module sports eight voices with a classic 2-oscillator, 2-/4-pole Curtis lowpass filter, VCA architecture, and 52 knobs to tweak. It goes well beyond the original Prophet by including four LFOs, three envelopes, and a gated sequencer per voice. Each program has two layers, so sounds can be easily stacked or split. A 4-mode latchable arpeggiator is also included.
- AKAI MPD32 – This super-affordable controller gives you 16 MPC-style velocity and pressure-sensitive pads, an array of assignable knobs and faders, and DAW transport controls. What’s more, it integrates seamlessly with your preferred DAW for easy, effective recordings and beat production. Modeled after the industry-standard MPC series, it’s a perfect pad controller for musicians and DJs alike. There are four selectable pad banks for a total of 64 playable pads, eight assignable faders, eight assignable switches, and eight assignable, 360-degree knobs for transmitting MIDI control change data, all combined for unprecedented creative freedom. Three selectable control banks extend the number of available faders, buttons and knobs to 24 each.
- ART SPLITCom Pro – The ultra-tough, ultra-versatile SPLITCom Pro can be used to split or combine low-impedance mic signals. It’s all packed into a compact enclosure that’s easy to fit into your sound-reinforcement toolbox. Use the SPLITCom Pro’s direct-coupled output and isolated transformer output to split a mic signal into two, or use it as a combiner to bring in two mics and pass one signal. It’s a simple, yet elegant way to conserve mixer inputs! This unit’s rugged metal enclosure means it’s built to take on all the rigors of day-in/day-out live use. The main mic output passes phantom power from the main mixer to the main mic input for use with condenser microphones, while phantom power is blocked from passing between the main and isolated signal paths.
