Let’s get mellow! Today’s Guitar of the Day is the brand-new Martin 000C Nylon, an acoustic/electric nylon-string guitar with a cutaway for easy high fret access. The 000C Nylon features a resonant solid Sitka spruce top for tone and projection, with a solid sapele back and sides. Sapele offers a warm tone similar to mahogany, so it pairs very well with a nice piece of spruce. The select hardwood 12-fret (refers to where the neck joins the body) neck has a low-profile carve and measures 1-7/8 inches at the nut, perfect for steel-string or electric players who want to cross over to a nylon-stringed instrument, but still wide enough to make fingerstyle players comfortable.
When it’s time to take the tone onstage, the 000C Nylon has you covered with built-in Fishman F1 electronics providing a natural sound with no feedback issues. It’s the ideal guitar for gigs, rehearsal, studio, songwriting, and more!
