When you open up the hardshell case and see your new Ibanez S2170 Prestige, you’ll be absolutely stunned that a guitar this gorgeous and so playable comes with such a low price tag!! There’s simply no way that a photo can prepare you for just how amazing this guitar looks. If one of the other high-end guitar manufacturers built an instrument with this finish, you can bet it would come with a price tag two three times more than what Ibanez is asking for it. Right now we have one with a Figured Bubinga top, and another with a Natural Burl top. Both have mahogany backs and a beautifully contoured body – sweet! And with three scorching-hot DiMarzio IBZ pickups (two humbuckers and a single-coil in the middle) you have a versatile setup that will allow you to nail almost any sound you’re after.
Right behind the pickups sits the heavy artillery: a Zero Resistance tremolo tailpiece that will let you bend notes – or entire chords – over an extremely wide range, not just a few semitones. The Wizard II Prestige neck is also a revelation. Constructed of five pieces of maple and bubinga, it’s so strong and stable you’ll probably never have to adjust the truss rod. It’s topped with a fully bound, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with an understated Prestige inlay at the 12th fret. Also, because of the way Ibanez designed the neck-to-body joint, you have easy access to the highest frets, making solos in the upper octaves nearly effortless. In keeping with contemporary tastes, these Prestige models got a perfectly applied satin finish. Ibanez even tossed in a deluxe hardshell case. Both have mahogany backs and ship absolutely free to your doorstep via FedEx.
