“Is there an intelligent way to delete the audio I’m not using on my HDR24/96 without getting rid of the audio that I am using? I’m trying to free up more hard drive space.”
Normally, all audio recorded within a project remains on the hard drive, but “Purge Audio Files” allows you to remove files that are not actually used in the project. This utility looks at every region used in every Playlist associated with the project. It then generates a list of audio files that do not appear in any playlist, and invites you to delete all or just selected files on the “unused audio file” list.
This is a destructive process, so be sure you really want to delete the audio before you follow through with the process.
